Racism Comes in All Forms … Geraldine Ferraro’s Comments were deemed Racist … Maybe Obama would like to Explain Reverend Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church’s Comments

So if Geraldine Ferraro’s comments were deemed racist by the main stream liberal media … what do they call this? The real question is why the LIBERAL media is not making more of an issue of a person so closely connected with Barack Obama. The liberal media love-fest and agenda continues for Obama.

Comments by former Democratic VP nominee Geraldine Ferraro were considered racists. Racists … no, stupid and childish … YES … however, they were also true.

“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.” (NY Daily News)

For these comments, Geraldine Ferraro had to apologize and resign from the Hillary Clinton campaign. Obama’s campaign had a staffer resign because they called Hillary Clinton a MONSTER.

So if these people had to apologize, be condemned and resign … MAYBE THE CANDIDATE OF CHANGE, BARACK OBAMA, WOULD LIKE TO EXPLAIN THE HATEFUL AND RACIST COMMENTS FROM HIS PASTOR, REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT.

The candidate of change better do more than just distance himself from Reverend Jeremiah Wright. This is what Barack Obama considers change? All these other people had to resign their posts when less damaging things were uttered, yet The Obama campaign says they have no plans to ask the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to step down from a campaign spiritual advisory committee.

Now you decide to distance yourself when its expedient for your campaign. Never in the past 20 years you did not think to do so? This is hardly the judgement when need from a potential president. You dare say that you are for all people when this is your spiritual advisor … Obama is not about change.

What is the change, reverse racism in place of racism?

One video shows Mr Wright speaking after 9/11. “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans,” he said, “and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards.”

In another sermon he said that the Government “wants us to sing ‘God Bless America’ ” despite treating black people as second-class citizens. “No, no, no,” Mr Wright said, “God damn America!”

What then does this say about Obama’s intelligence, perceptiveness and ability to lead a nation?
Here is a man he has had a close association with for 20 years… his friend, his mentor and the man who baptized his children.
And Barack Obama was completely unaware that this man is a raving lunatic.

How then will he fare as president, when he will have to gauge the true nature and intentions of foreign governments, our allies and our enemies?
How can we trust this man to make the right call, if he can’t even determine the true nature of a man who has been so close to him for over two decades?

Imagine this 30 second ad, run heavily next October. I think it would be devastating among undecided and swing voters.
“What does Barack Obama really believe in? His spiritual teacher for 20 years has been Jeremiah Wright. Wright wedded Obama & his wife. Obama named his book from a sermon of Wright’s. [insert video of favorable comment about Wright by Obama]. What has Jeremiah Wright taught Obama? [Insert rabid clip of Wright capped by "God Damn America!! God Damn America!!"] We need a solid patriot to lead our nation. Someone we can trust. Vote John McCain 2008.”

On My Faith and My Church

Who are you kidding Barack Obama? Change … what change? You cannot follow a church and a reverend for as long as you have and now suddenly say you disagree and condemn Revered Jeremiah Wright’s comments. YOU ARE NO CANDIDATE OF CHANGE. You are just another snake oil salesman wearing a different suit.

Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it’s on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue.

So the candidate of change has suddenly come to the realization that his reverend of over 20 years is a racist? Now he distances himself when it behoves his campaign? This is CHANGE? No wonder Michelle Obama made the comments that she did about never being proud of America.

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.”

Jeremiah Wright is not like an old uncle. He is your reverend and your spiritual advisor. One can only imagine what the media would be saying if GWB had a racist and loose cannon as his spirutual advisor. You cannot suddenly just disavow what this man has said all these years just because you want to be president. YOU ARE A PHONY!!! Obama is not about change … he is just like every politician … trying to cover his ASS!!!

I have a feeling this move is NOT the end of the story. The issue all along has not been so much that Wright was with the campaign. This is about whether people feel comfortable with Obama now that they know he and his family went to a Church where this kind of offensive language was taking place. It goes right to the judgement issue. Was it wise for Obama to stay at the Church for all those years if he disagreed with many of the things his own pastor said? And if he doesn’t like language that tears others down, why put up with it for so long? These are legitimate questions.
