A parents worst nightmare …

Mass shooting murder leaves 27 dead, including 20 children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.  Words cannot even begin to describe the heinous and evil act that took place today at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in the small town of Newtown, Connecticut. 20 year old Adam Lanza, the son of one of the teachers at the elementary school, barged into the  Sandy Hook Elementary school and opened fire doing the unthinkable, killing 20 children. However, not before first going to the principles office and murdering four woman, including  . In all, six adults were murdered.

The first word of the horrifying Newtown school shooting went out over the town’s police radio at 9:36 this morning. Two minutes later, a dispatcher reported the gunshots had stopped.

Then the police on the scene, with his voice trembling with emotion says, “I’ve got bodies here. Need ambulances.”

Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother Nancy Lanza dead at their family home before driving to the school and targeting her kindergarten class at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., sources said. Sources also told The Post that Lanza’s mother was a teacher at the school and he “had a dispute with her.”

Lanza was found dead inside the school from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, an official told the AP.

CBS News is reporting that the gunman, now identified as 20-year-old Adam Lanza, was the son of Nancy Lanza, a female teacher at the school. Nancy Lanza was later found at her home dead. Oh dear God, this shooter first killed his mother and then drove to the school in his mothers car and killed her class. Words cannot even describe this. CBS News is reporting that at least 27 people are dead, including 20 students, after a mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. The gunman is among the dead.

CBS News reports the gunman, now identified as 20-year-old Adam Lanza, was the son of Nancy Lanza, a female teacher at the school. She was found dead at her Newtown home. A law enforcement officer originally told CBS News that Nancy Lanza was among the dead at the school.

From the AP, 18 children died at the scene and 2 later died from their wounds at local hospitals.

The Associated Press quoted an official as saying the suspected gunman drove to the school in his mother’s car. Another law enforcement source earlier told CBS News that a Sig Sauer, a Glock 9 and a Bushmaster rifle were found at the scene. Preliminary information showed that Lanza purchased the weapons legally.

“The shooter is deceased inside the building,” State Police Lt. Paul Vance said during a press conference on Friday afternoon, adding that the scene had been secured.

Vance said that 18 children were pronounced dead at the scene and two more children died at the hospital. Six adults also were killed. The school’s principal, Dawn Hochsprung, was among the dead.

Say a prayer for today’s victims, their families and their friends and loved ones. Please say a special prayer for the innocent 20 children who were senselessly murdered. May they rest in eternal peace.
