America, ever wonder our economic is a complete disaster, President Barack Obama is getting economic advice from Al Sharpton.

As reported at The Weekly Standard, Barack Obama met with Al Sharpton and other “African American leaders” to discuss the president’s “plan to strengthen the economy for the middle class. Hmm, just curious, doesn’t the middle class exists of more than just black people? I thought Obama said he was a president of all people? Just wondering if he was discussing a way to help the middle class, where B all the white folks? Um, Al Sharpton was invited why again? Obama’s stated the purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the economy for the middle class and continue to build ladders of opportunity. Because Al Sharpton is always the first person who comes to mind regarding strengthen the economy and building ladders. Race-baiting yes, regarding strengthen the economy and building ladders, NO!

Imagine any president getting advice from this fool

Barack Obama met with Al Sharpton and other “African American leaders” to discuss the president’s “plan to strengthen the economy for the middle class and continue to build ladders of opportunity for those striving to get there,” according to the White House.

Participants in the meeting included:

• Melanie Campbell, President, National Coalition of Black Civic Participation • Ralph Everett, President, Joint Center for Economic and Political Studies • Wade Henderson, President, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights • Ben Jealous, President, National Association of the Advancement of Colored People • Avis Jones-DeWeever, Executive Director, National Council of Negro Women • Sharon J. Lettman-Hicks, Executive Director, National Black Justice Coalition • Al Sharpton, Founder and President of National Action Network • Rev Derrick Harkins, 19th Street Baptist Church • Judith Browne Dianis, Co-Director, Advancement Project

Is it any wonder why job growth is anemic, record number of Americans are on food stamp and the work participation rate is near an all-time low.  The dirty little secret that the MSM refuses to report is that the unemployment rate for black males and females is higher today than it was when Barack Obama took office.

At the end of January 2009, 12.7 percent of African-Americans were unemployed. Four years later, January 2013, the situation was worse, with unemployment higher at 13.8 percent.

Further, an additional 1.2 million African-Americans had left the workforce entirely during the same time period, with the number of those reported as not in the workforce rising from 10.3 million in January 2009 to 11.5 million in January 2013.
