Californians are in Favor of Arizona Immigration Law Even though MSM Calls it a Split

Posted in: Illegal Immigration,Media Bias,Politics,Polls,US National Security,WTF

When is a polling mandate a split? When the liberal MSM gets polling data back that they do not agree with and goes against their liberal agenda.

I guess President Barack Hussein Obama thinks that a majority of Californians are misguided as well. In a recent poll in the Los Angeles Times,

50% of registered Californian voters  supported the Arizona immigration law while only 43% opposed. In fact, 41% strongly supported the new immigration law that would allow police to verify the immigration status.

The 7% gap is well outside the margin of error.

The gap also shows that every city council in the state that is boycotting Arizona is out of step with the electorate.

The actual wording of the questions in the poll. From the poll PDF:

Q. 51 This law requires police who stop a person to question that person’s immigration status if there is “reasonable suspicion” that he or she is in the United States illegally and gives police the power to question anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally. It requires people to produce documents verifying their status if asked, and allows officers to detain anyone who cannot do so. Do you favor or oppose this new law?

Strongly favor………….41
Not so strongly favor…..8
Not so strongly oppose..7
Strongly oppose……….36

Total favor……………..50
Total oppose…………..43

Hmm, the LA Times cannot even conduct a poll and label it properly even when the margin falls outside the margin of error, go figure. It would appear the Times did not get the response they wanted from the polling as they call a 50% to 43% margin a split. Funny, if Obama had a similar margin they would refer to it as a mandate.

Stop the ACLU seems to have the same question, how does a 7% in favor margin and one that is outside the margin of error be reported as “being split”? However, when it comes to the liberal MSM bias, it knows no bounds.
