Change you can believe in … Barack Obama to break campaign pledge he made during 2008 Presidential election that there will be no taxes on the middle class? America, are you going to stand for this?
Vanderbilt – ‘08
Remember the famed “lipsticking a pig” comment from Obama?
If it looks like a tax & spend liberal socialist Acts like a tax and spend liberal socialist Then it is a tax and spend liberal socialist READ MY LIPS, NO NEW MIDDLE CLASS TAXES Barack Obama, the misleader and chief. It was stated by John McCain and Republicans during the Presidential campaign that Obama could not do what he was stating without raising taxes on the middle class. However, no one wanted to listen. They just wanted to tax the wealthy. That was ok. Wonder how the middle class feels after this weekends talk shows where Obama surrogates, Turbo Tax Geithner and Larry Summer, floated that anything is possible and there was no guarantee taxes would not be raised. That’s a far cry from no new taxes on the middle class. Just another dose of reality to the voting Obama gullible.
During his presidential campaign, Obama repeatedly vowed “you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime.” But the simple reality remains that his ambitious overhaul of how Americans receive health care — promised without increasing the federal deficit — must be paid for.
During this Sunday’s ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Treasury Secretary Secretary Tim Geithner dropped the bombshell that, “to get the economy back on track, will President Barack Obama have to break his pledge not to raise taxes on 95 percent of Americans”?
Video footage was taken during than presidential candidate Obama’s speech in Dover, NH where President Obama pledges not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.

“We’re going to have to do what’s necessary.” Geithner was clear that he believes a key component of economic recovery is deficit reduction. When I gave him several opportunities to rule out a middle class tax hike, he wouldn’t do it. “We have to bring these deficits down very dramatically,” Geithner told me. “And that’s going to require some very hard choices.” “We will not get this economy back on track, recovery will be not strong and sustained, unless we convince the American people that we are going to have the will to bring these deficits down once recovery is firmly established,” he said.
What rational and thinking person did not think that Obama was lying thru his teeth during the campaign with regards to not raising middle class taxes? As Macsmind aptly states, “Stop the Nonsense Obama – You’re Going to Raise Our Taxes and We will Make you Politically Pay for It.” Obviously Obama is not a student or Presidential historian or he would have seen what happened to George Bush Sr. with his “read my lips” tax statement to Americans. Thus, Obama creates and out of control spending socialist policy, increases federal deficits to as far as the eye can see and now that is justification for a tax hike. Who does not think that was his plan all along?
So what will come of this? Obama will make a denial of the comments or his press secretary will be sent out in front of the WH press. Just another example of not knowing and the confusion caused by this novice White House. No wonder no one is trusting them any more.
Michelle Malkin on “This Week” discussing health care, the economy, and Gatesgate. Wasn’t this a breath of fresh air on this program (see videos).
