Megan Meier : Priceless … Defense Attorney for Lori Drew Say Prosecutors are Real Bullies

The unmitigated audacity. Even in death Megan Meier is disgraced. This time it is by Lori Drew’s attorney who says that the prosecutors are the real bullies in this case. Oh wait, Lori is supposed to be the victim, right? There is a special level of hell reserved for people like this.

Newsflash to defense attorney Dean Steward who represents Lori Drew or is it Josh Evans? … your client is the face of “cyberbullying” in the same manner that O.J Simpson was the face of wife killers.

The defense attorney for Lori Drew, the woman who harassed and bullied 13 year old Megan is saying that the prosecutors are the real bullies in this case as they dare seek a stiff sentence against Lori Drew, the “mother once accused of scheming over the Internet to humiliate 13-year-old neighbor Megan Meier who later committed suicide.” ONCE, FICTION???!!!???

“The government’s case is all about making Lori Drew a public symbol of cyberbullying,” Steward said. “The government has created a fiction that Lori Drew somehow caused (Megan’s) death, and it wants a long prison sentence to make its fiction seem real.”

Lawyer Dean Steward represents Lori Drew, who is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court after being convicted in November of three misdemeanor counts of accessing computers without authorization.

Drew was found not guilty of the felony charge of intentionally causing emotional harm while accessing computers without authorization. The jury deadlocked on a felony conspiracy charge.

The defense thinks its an outrage to demand a harsh three-year prison term. Lori Drew should consider herself lucky that she got away with murder because there were no real laws to charge her with.

We all know that juries can be inept and clueless. These jurists were cowards. The fact that the jury in the Lori Drew case did not find her guilty on the felony counts is inexcusable and should haunt them all to their grave. Yup, O.J Simpson was not guilty as well, right?

Lori Drew was charged with violating the the MySpace terms of service in order to perpetrate a hoax. That hoax ultimately cost Megan Meier her life. However, Drew’s defense attorney used the following as some type of reasoning … that because a set of rules is not usually read, it therefore cannot be violated. Really? How many people have ever read their auto insurance policy from cover to cover? Do you think if you violate the exclusions of your policy, you will be covered? The answer is no. Ignorance to the rules are not a defense. Except if one has an LA jury.

However, the fact that the defense thinks her client should get a slap on the wrist for what she did is reason # 2.5.7 as to why we despise defense attorneys. Sadly, at the time of this heinous act by Lori Drew, the laws had not caught up to the technology.
