Bridges Muslim TV Founder, Muzzammil Hassan, Charged with Decapitating his Wife 37 Year Old Aasiya Zubair

Hmm … so this guy was considered a moderate.

Muzzammil Hassan, the founder of Bridges Muslim TV network in Orchard Park, NY has been charged and arrested in the brutal death of his wife. 37 year old Aasiya Zubair was found decapitated at the Bridge’s Muslim T.V. network Thursday evening. According to police, the couple had trouble getting along … YA THINK!!! As The Jawa Report writes, ‘Prominent Member Of Religion Of Peace Community Ends Marriage In Peaceful Fashion.’

Thursday evening, police converge on the station’s Orchard Park studio and office.

“The worst that I’ve seen, yeah,” said Andrew Benz, Orchard Park Police Chief.

Police tell News 4 the only suspect in this case is the victim’s husband, who walked into police headquarters in Orchard Park Thursday evening to report his wife was dead.

It’s being called a brutal murder.

“She was decapitated,yes,” said Benz.

Zubair was found in the hallway. The mission of Bridges TV is to foster understanding between cultures and diverse populations. According to police, the couple had trouble getting along.

Muzzammil Hassan launched the channel in 2004 in hopes of dispelling stereotypes of Muslims as terrorists, and balancing widespread images of Muslim extremism with moderate viewpoints. So this guy was supposed to be a moderate? I guess the decapitation of a spouse will put an end to those thoughts.

UPDATE I: Michelle Malkin asks whether the bias MSM will give this story as much attention as say, the Ted Haggard scandal or Pat Robertson’s Teletubbies remarks. In a word, NO!
