Hey Obama, would you like some Brie with that WHINE!!!
Obama, if you want people to lay off your wife, maybe you should keep her away from the microphone. There are consequences to free speech. Obama, if you are so thin skinned to not take criticism then keep your wife off the political campaign of being your surrogate spokesperson. Its as simple as that. Stick her at home out of the public eye and ear. If not, if she is on the political stump … all comments are fair game. However, the Obama’s think that nothing they have ever done or said is allowed to be challenged.
In an interview this morning with Good Morning America, Democratic Presidential wannabe Barack Obama warned the GOP to “Lay off his wife”. Obama claims that the snippets used by Republicans distort his wife’s Michelle Obama’s comments and intentions. To play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her I think is just low class. WAH … WAH … WAH … cry me a river.
Sen. Barack Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made by his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic “low class” and “detestable.”
“But I also think these folks should lay off my wife,” he told “GMA” as his wife chuckled beside him.
“But I do want to say this to the GOP. If they think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful. Because that I find unacceptable,” he said.
The Obama’s do not realize that words have consequences. This is the CHANGE that we want for America? Thin skinned politicians who cannot take the heat of campaigning? This is what is supposed to face evil, terrorism and the enemies of the US?
The Gateway Pundit reminds us of exactly what Michelle Obama has said in the past. Obama’s wife’s view on the word is hardly a rosey one. Obama talks of snippets, what part about the following comment from Michelle Obama is taken out of context when Michelle states that she had never been proud of her country? VIDEO here.
“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.”
No one is attacking Michelle personally like calling GWB stupid, people are calling out her spoken word. That is acceptable.
Michelle Malkin agrees as well, “If the Missus cannot take the heat, keep her away from the microphone.” The question really becomes, what do the Obama’s think is fair to discuss during a campaign? The answer is nothing that hurts their political chances to be President. As Hot Air points out, Now campaign statements are off the table, too?
Obama praised his wife’s patriotism and said that for Republicans “to try to distort or to play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her I think is just low class … and especially for people who purport to be promoters of family values, who claim that they are protectors of the values and ideals and the decency of the American people to start attacking my wife in a political campaign I think is detestable.
Where have we heard that sorry, pathetic excuse before? Could it be when Barack Obama was making excuses for the Reverend Wright in that his remarks were being taken out of context? The same excuses were made, until finally Obama could not take the political hits from Wright’s continued comments and Obama divorced Wright. The Gateway Pundit further nailes it as well, “Funny Barack said the same thing about Jeremiah Wirght’s remarks, too. Obama said those nasty comments were just cherry-picked, too”.
