US News Poll: Politically Biased, Inaccurate, and Uncaring … RATINGS, RATINGS, RATINGS

US News and MSM: RATINGS … RATINGS … RATINGS. Granted ratings are a necessary evil for the MSM; however, ratings at all cost at the expense and exploitation of your story is far from the answer. Seems the American people agree.
In a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center revealed that more than half of Americans believe that the news media is politically biased, inaccurate and completely uncaring of the people they cover.
You needed a poll to figure this out? Liberal bias in the media has existed for years. The inaccuracy of stories reported has been one created by bias, laziness in fact checking and in some cases by just making stories up. There is a reason why so many people have turned to the Web, internet and blogs as an alternative news outlet.
And poll respondents who use the Internet as their main source of news — roughly one quarter of all Americans — were even harsher with their criticism, the poll conducted by the Pew Research Center said.
More than two-thirds of the Internet users said they felt that news organizations don’t care about the people they report on; 59 percent said their reporting was inaccurate; and 64 percent they were politically biased.
More than half — 53 percent — of Internet users also faulted the news organizations for “failing to stand up for America”. (Breitbart)
However, one the most obvious aspects of today’s MSM is their lack of caring for the topics they cover. The exploitive nature of today’s news media is driven by advertising dollars. They are so quick to jump on the story du jour; however, are no where to be found later in the story.
No where is that seen more than the media’s coverage of missing and exploited children, teens and adults. Their selective nature as to what they believes sells when covering a missing persons story defies logic and any aspect of caring. American people care about missing person stories, one would think that the powers that be in the media would comprehend. Then once the MSM does start to cover a story it does so in such an exploitive manner that it makes the viewer cringe.
When I see a comment that states most Americans believe that the media does not care about the stories they cover, I think back to a comment that was made by more than one media type when it came to covering the Natalee Holloway missing persons story for ratings. The media is looking for the next Natalee Holloway story. Our reply, “funny, we are looking to prevent the next Natalee Holloway story, not hope another one happens.”
