35 year old fugitive Adma Mayes has been caught and arrested in New Albany, Mississippi. Missing and abducted 12 year old Alexandria Bain and her 8 year old sister Kyliyah Bain have been found safe and alive. Mayes is in critical condition after a self inflicted gun shot to the head after authorities and SWAT moved in on the kidnapping and murder suspect.
The Mississippi man suspected of killing a Tennessee mother and daughter was caught Thursday evening and the two other young daughters he is suspected of kidnapping were found alive, though there were conflicting reports of whether the suspect is alive or dead.
Adam Mayes, 35, on America’s Most Wanted Fugitive List, was caught in Mississippi, Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards confirmed.

UPDATE I: Adam Mayes Shot himself to death. Most of us expected that this is the way that this kidnapping would end with the suspected kidnapper and murderer killing himself. Although we can thank God that he did not harm the two sisters.
Two Tennessee girls missing since their mother and sister were murdered were rescued today in Mississippi, where their suspected abductor apparently shot himself to death, an FBI official said.
“The girls were found alive and appear to be unharmed,” Daniel McMullen, the FBI special agent in charge for the state of Mississippi, told reporters. “Officers also apprehended top 10 fugitive Adam Mayes. Preliminary reports indicate Mayes shot himself in the head and was later pronounced dead in an area hospital.”

Game wardens happened upon Mayes in a heavily wooded area behind a small church near his mother’s home in Mississippi, about 45 minutes from the Tennessee border. As they approached him, he shot himself. An ambulance transported him in critical condition to Baptist Hospital in Alpine, Miss., where he was later pronounced dead.
