We stated the other day it was doctor fraud …

The University of Wisconsin Health System is going to investigate the doctors who were handing out fake and fraudulent physician notes to protesters. In a statement, UW Health said the would investigate those who participated in behavior that constituted violations of medical ethics or University of Wisconsin and UW Health policies and work rules.

These UW Health physicians were acting on their own and without the knowledge or approval of UW Health. These charges are very serious and in response, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, the UW Health entities that employ the physicians, have immediately launched an investigation of the reported behavior.

The investigation will identify which UW Health physicians were involved and whether their behavior constituted violations of medical ethics or University of Wisconsin and UW Health policies and work rules. The investigation and any potential future action will follow the established procedures of the University of Wisconsin. Any future disciplinary action taken will be considered a personnel matter and will be treated with the confidentiality required by University of Wisconsin policies.

 When this was first reported and VIDEOS appears on the Internet of repeated doctors handing out phony and bogus doctor notes and instructing people to misrepresent their health as a excuse to miss work, I personally could not believe that a physician would sacrifice their job over something like this. However, they obviously thought they would not get caught, even though they were caught red-handed on video HERE, HERE and HERE. How could anyone think it was ok to hand out phony doctor notes and talk about it and think that it was not fraud?

The Wisconsin Medical Examining Board has received information about the events, the medical society said. Representatives from the state Department of Regulation and Licensing, which includes the medical board, could not be reached for comment.

State regulations ban doctors from “knowingly making any false statement, written or oral, in practicing under any license, with fraudulent intent.”

EXIT QUESTION:So does Obamacare allow for doctors writing fraudulent health care notes for union workers in the name of “economic justice” because unions side with the Obamamessiah? Or does Obama have the guts to call this for what it was … doctor fraud. Maybe Obama would feel different if the fake Dr’s notes were to take out their tonsils!

UPDATE I: From Ann Althouse … sadly; however most likely correctly she states there will be an investigation but most likely nothing will come of it as a breach of ethics. Of course the shame is that this is an obvious, in your face breach of ethics as doctors are caught lying, misrepresenting and knowingly are falsely writing notes.
