Obama Looks to Diffuse ACORN Controversy and Distance Himself … Is Obama Suddenly Allergic to Nuts?

Posted in: Barack Obama,Corruption,Crime,Politics,Presidential Election 2008,WTF

Who knew that Barack Obama was allergic to nuts? ACORN’s that is. After the ACORN_fraudoverwhelming evidence of voter registration fraud perpetrated by ACORN, Obama finally looks to distance himself from the embattled ACORN and now throw them under the bus.

Now that voter fraud is on the front pages and being covered by the MSM Obama must now appear as if he is concerned about the voting process. What was the deciding factor for Obama, the obvious voter fraud in Ohio or the fact that ACORN registered Micky Mouse?

Make room under the Obama bus as there is already many under it who no longer provide a benefit to Obama’s political aspirations. It is getting pretty crowded under there.  Now that ACORN is no longer politically expedient for his campaign, Barack Obama looks to throw ACORN under the bus as he calls ACORN “A Distraction… We Don’t Need ACORN’s Help.” Interestingly enough Obama never had a problem when the ACORN voter registration fraud was going on and was not covered by the MSM. He states now that “we don’t need their help.” Why is that, because the damage has already been done? After all this time and after all the allegations and proof of voter registration fraud … Barack Obama suddenly develops an allergy to “ACORN’s.” How typical.

Who knew Obama was allergic to nuts?

ABC News noted that “Senator McCain today said that ‘there has been voter fraud going on in the battleground states. ACORN is tampering with Americans’ most precious right; there has to be a full and complete investigation.’  And he also said that you need to disclose your full relationship with ACORN. I’m wondering if you have any reaction to the reports of voter fraud and also to Sen. McCain’s charge?”

Watch Out for being thrown under the Obama Bus

Obama replied: “first of all, my relationship to ACORN is pretty straightforward.  It’s probably 13 years ago when I was still practicing law, I represented ACORN and my partner in that representation was the US Justice Department in having Illinois implement what was called the ‘Motor Voter’ law,  to make sure that people could go to DMV’s and drivers’ license facilities to get registered.. It wasn’t being implemented. That was my relationship and is my relationship to ACORN.

“There is an ACORN organization in Chicago,” Obama continued. “They have been active. As an elected official, I’ve had interactions with them. But they are not advising our campaign. We’ve got the best voter registration and turnout and volunteer operation in politics right now and we don’t need ACORN’s help.

PALIN KNOCKS OBAMA WITH ACORN

“Obama has a responsibility to rein in ACORN,” Palin told conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh Tuesday.

Calling the charges “unconscionable,” Palin said the McCain campaign has reached out to its Democratic counterpart to cooperate on clamping down on voter fraud, but has received no response.  (The Obama campaign said today that it did indeed respond to the month-old request from McCain’s ” Honest and Open Election Committee” — by issuing a counter-challenge to Republicans to dismantle attempts at voter suppression in battleground states.)
