Chaos at Aruban Airport … I Thought They Knew how to Deal with Tourism in Aruba?

Posted in: Aruba,Natalee Holloway,Travel,WTF

What isn’t chaos when it comes to Aruba? Missing persons, murder investigations and crowds at the airport … they all begin to look the same.  Just another example that tourists come second in Aruba.

All we ever hear is that Aruba is supposed to be the #1 location spot in the Caribbean to go. That they treat tourists well. Really? At least that is what he hear from those that are responsible for marketing Aruba’s tourism; however, are they really? They can’t even seem to handle matters at the airport. Understaffed? Aruba has an excuse for everything. With the airport is under-staffing. With their decline of tourism it was hotel rooms being renovated and the high price of fuel. With the Natalee Holloway investigation it was blame on the media and the family. Take some responsibility folks … you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Are these people capable of handling anything? Its not like they do not know in advance or have a very good idea what the volume is going to be like. I guess the blame falls on the tourists here as well. Exactly how is it that in what is presumed to be the busiest time of the year one allows their staff to be on vacation? Aruba acts like its new to this tourist thing.

Due to the immigration department being understaffed, the travelers were forced to queue up outside the terminal.

They are very worried about the coming weekends, especially the Christmas and New Year ones that traditionally are the busiest periods at the airport.

Chaos at the airport

ORANJESTAD – The enormous flood of passengers in the airport’s departure hall for American destinations caused chaotic situations last Saturday.  Due to the immigration department being understaffed, the travelers were forced to queue up outside the terminal.  According to reports, some of the employees are on vacation and are not allowed to claim overtime.  The personnel of the airline companies and handling services did their utmost to get the passengers at the gates on time.  They are very worried about the coming weekends, especially the Christmas and New Year ones that traditionally are the busiest periods at the airport.
