Another Date Night For the Obama’s … This Time in Paris France as Barack Snubs France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy for Dinner

Date night with Michelle Obama seems to be causing “The One” a lot of difficulties. One would have thought that after Barack’s last “date night” debacle in NYC that he would have learned his lesson. GUESS NOT.

Dinner, ah, um, Let me consult with my teleprompter

For Barack Obama, date night with Michelle more important that US-Europe relations with France. There is a nice slap in the face to an ally. Especially seeing that Obama and his family are in  Obama turned down a private dinner with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

President Obama’s reluctance to spend more than minimum time with the French leader on his visit for the D-Day anniversary has come as an embarrassment to the Elysée Palace.

America’s First Family will not be dining with President Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, even though they are staying at the residence of the US Ambassador, yards from the Elysée apartments where the Sarkozys spend their weekends.

The Obamamesiah’s excuse was as follows:

“I have a very tough schedule and I would love nothing more than to have a leisurely week in Paris, stroll down the Seine, take my wife out to a nice meal, have a picnic in Luxembourg Gardens,” Obama said, pointing out that he was caught up in dealing with the pressing financial crisis at home.

“Those days are over for the moment,” Obama said, but promised to spend more time in France when he is an ex-president.

“I think it’s very important to understand that good friends don’t worry about the symbols and the conventions and the protocols,” Obama said.

“I think you guys are reading too much into my schedule.”

REALLY?

Obama plays the “I am too busy” card and  “he was caught up in dealing with the pressing financial crisis at home”. What days are over Mr. President??? You did go out to dinner in Paris with your wife, it just happened to not include the President of France. That did not seem to stop him from going out with his wife, for a night out on the town and dinner in Paris. Barack Hussein Obama has much to learn if he thinks that symbols and protocol do not matter. Such as giving the British PM a box of DVD’s and the Queen of England and iPod.

Obama thinks he is above symbols and protocol.  Really, then why did he feel the need to bow to a Saudi King? Trust me, Europe is all about the protocol. Who is being the cowboy who goes against normal convention?

Barack Obama can get nothing right. Because he took such a hit on the embarrassment of dining in NYC at the tax payers expense during a recession, he now over reacts and insults the President of France thinking it will look good that Barack is getting a value meal at McDonald’s rather than dinner with Sarkozy. Unreal.

UPDATE I: King Obama has a WH food tester … from Hot Air. Who knew that this was still being practiced.

AFP confims …

 US “taster” tested the food being dished up to President Barack Obama at a dinner in a French restaurant, a waiter said on Sunday.

“They have someone who tastes the dishes,” said waiter Gabriel de Carvalho from the “La Fontaine de Mars” restaurant where Obama and his family turned up for dinner on Saturday night.

I am inclined to agree with Say Anything, exactly how much does the food tester make? Being paid to travel and eat food … Obama or no Obama, where do we apply?
