WOW, it’s about time someone held Obama’s feet to the fire and stopped making excuses for him.  During the 60 Minutes interview Steve Kroft asked President Barack Obama is he was “punch-drunk”. Just to set the record straight, Kroft is pro-Obama reporter.

Is the Media-Obama Love Affair Over?

His remarks came in a“60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.

“You’re sitting here. And you’re— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asked at one point.

“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft said.

It has become obvious that Obama does not get the magnitude of his job or the fact that his words have great repercussions. One needs to look no further than his flip comment in an attempt to get a laugh at the expense of millions of Special Olympians.

Blue Crab Boulevard may be on to something with their psychiatric diagnosis of “inappropriate affect”.  One thing is for certain and we have said it long before Obama was elected President,  Barack Obama is in over his head and was never ready for the Prime Time focus of the duties of the White House. Experience does matter and “We the People” are getting a lesson in just how important it is. Barack Obama has been allowed to laugh off situations in the past; the complicit media has defended and refused to ask tough questions and voters believed in the “words” and rhetoric of candidate Obama rather than his qualifications. The result … inappropriate laughter during a serious situation.

There are two possibilities here. Either Obama is intentionally, malignantly causing a meltdown in the economy or he is completely – and I mean completely – clueless about how his words and actions impact the economy.

STEVE KROFT: You’re sitting here. And you’re– you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, “I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about (LAUGHTER) money–” How do you deal with– I mean, wh– explain -

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well–

STEVE KROFT: –the mood and your laughter.

PRESIDENT OBAMA:Yeah, I mean, there’s got to be–

STEVE KROFT: Are you punch drunk?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: No, no. There’s gotta be a little gallows humor to (LAUGHS) get you through the day. [authors note: um, gallows humor???] You know, sometimes my team– talks about the fact that if– if you had said to us a year ago that– the least of my problems would be Iraq, which is still a pretty serious problem– I don’t think anybody would have believed it. But– but we’ve got a lot on our plate. And– a lot of difficult decisions that we’re going to have to make.
