HELLO KIDS … NOTHING GOOD CAN EVER COME WHEN LETTING SOMEONE TAKE A NUDE PIC OF YOU!!!
We have previously warned of the dangers of “sexting,” a trend by teenagers that can result in nothing good. Sexting has once again reared its ugly head, this time in the Bay State. Sexting has now made it to a Falmouth, MA middle school where six male students between the ages of 12 and 14 could now face child porn charges after a boy took a nude photo of his 13 year old girlfriend and “sexted” it to his pals’ cell phones. I guess we should ask the 6 youths whether they think sending the naked pic of a 13 year old girl is such a fun idea now?
According to the Cape Cod Times the incident took place with students of the Lawrence School in Falmouth, MA.
On Jan. 15, police said they were contacted by Paul Fay, principal of the Lawrence School, after he discovered a photograph of a naked 13-year-old girl on the cell phones of six male students. Police said the cell phones were confiscated immediately, and they do not believe the picture was sent elsewhere or posted on the Internet.
One of the boys allegedly took the photo of his 13-year-old girlfriend with his cell phone, then sent it to friends electronically, police said.
Falmouth police spent two weeks investigating the boys.
A hearing to determine whether the boys will be charged has not yet been scheduled, police said.
Wendy Murphy, who lectures on sex crimes at the New England School of Law and a frequent guest on The Dana Pretzer Show, said the following regarding the out of control nature of teens and sexting:
“sexting almost has become an “epidemic. I know it seems heavy-handed to bring child porn charges. Law enforcement is using the only tool it has for what has become a huge problem nationwide.”
