As the New Hampshire Primaries Near … Obama Leads Hillary Clinton … My How the Mighty Have Fallen

Posted in: Hillary Clinton,Media,Politics,Presidential Election 2008,You Tube - VIDEO

Its just two days away from the New Hampshire Primaries and according to the Rasmussen poll, Barack Obama leads Hillary Clinton, 39% to 27%. Even though the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll has it a dead heat between Hillary and Obama, it is obvious that there must be concern with CAMP CLINTON.

Recently Bill Clinton had whined about the treatment that Hillary was getting in the press. It must be a grim reality to Hillary to suddenly realize that she is not as liked as her husband, nor will be given the many free passes that former President Bill Clinton was provided by the main stream media. Let’s face it, Hillary Clinton is no charmer.

As the Democrats debated last night in New Hampshire, it has become obvious that all the rules have changed and Hillary is no longer the front runner. However, try as the media will that Hillary Clinton is the under dog, it is a rather comical proposition with a war chest like she maintains. One must ask the question, how much money must one take in and spend to pay to be likeable?

Obama and Edwards Tag-Team Clinton

Is it really considered a handicap match when John Edwards is your tag team partner? One thing is for certain, Hillary is on the ropes and defensive. For the first time in her political career she is having to face what all else have had to … criticism and questions.

Comparing her to the “forces for status quo,” Edwards said that Obama “believes deeply in change, and I believe deeply in change. Anytime you speak out for change, this is what happens. The forces for status quo are going to attack.” (ABC)

The pressure is obviously starting to get to Hillary Clinton. The once invincible front runner for the Democrats who was all but crowned their nominee without a single primary or caucus is now in a position that she has never faced. Hillary now has to answer direct questions and is being challenged by her political foes for the first time ever.

WATCH HILLARY GET VERY DEFENSIVE DURING DEBATE

Think Hillary Clinton is not in some major trouble in New Hampshire? Take a look at what Independents are saying about Hillary. Its a terrible sign for Hillary Clinton when 80% of independents in NH are going for Obama.

There is another subtle reason for Hillary to be worried in NH. In 2004 when John Kerry ran in the Granite state, there were signs every where for his campaign. There has actually been a surprising lack of Hillary signs on the front lawns of New Hampshirites. There actually have been more Obama signs and an equal amount of Edwards ones.

So what happens if Hillary loses NH is Obama as well this coming Tuesday? Its then off to South Carolina where she will most likely lose again.

UPDATE I: OUCH!!! USA/Gallup Poll: Obama 41%, Hillary 28% –  It Could be a Long Night for the Clinton camp in the NH Primary

The only thing that may prevent an Obama win Tuesday night in New Hampshire, is a Howard Dean Scream Moment.
Sen. Barack Obama has opened up a 13 percentage point lead over Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the battle for votes in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, according to a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll conducted in the state from Friday through this afternoon. The results were just released.

On the Republican side, Sen. John McCain is 4 percentage points ahead of Mitt Romney.
