From the Pent House to the Dog House to the Big House … Michael Vick to Plead Guilty to Dog Fighting Charges
Posted in: Bizarre,Crime,Sports,WTF
No apology needed Michael, please do not waste our time or insult our intelligence. Just go away and never come back. We are a forgiving society; however, you are only sorry you were caught. Why should you ever be given a second chance? The dogs you murdered didn’t get one.
Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick will plead guilty to federal dog fighting charges according to his attorney, Billy Martin. So much for Vick telling Falcon owner, Arthur Blank, and NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, that he was innocent. LIAR! Vick had no other choice but to plead guilty as first one co-defendant and then two more pleaded guilty in exchange for evidence again Michael Vick.
In the statement by attorney Billy Martin, Vick agreed to plead guilty and accept a plea deal and will “accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made,” ESPN and Fox News reported Monday.
Vick is expected to be sentenced next Monday at US District Court here. He could face up to five years in prison and fines of more than 250,000 dollars as a result of the charges, although a lesser sentence is likely from the deal.
“After consulting with his family over the weekend, Michael Vick asked that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him,” Martin’s statement said. (Breitbart)
Next Michael Vick will have to face the wrath of the NFL commissioner who will most likely ban Vick for a year. Unfortunately it will not be for life for the absolute heinous acts that this man did. This is not a matter of making a single mistake or an error in judgement. The dog fighting charges and the inhuman acts by Vick are beyond comprehension. They show such a character flaw than any NFL team would be insane to hire Vick. We do not care to hear of Michael Vick’s apologies, they ring rather hollow.
(You best do better than saying you’re sorry. This goes way beyond an apology)
“Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made.”
“Michael wishes to apologizes again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.”
Michael Vick had all of what life could ever offer him and more and he still could not behave like a human. Vick is only sorry that he was caught, nothing more. Funny how Vick has not really even addressed the gambling charges against him which is what will be his undoing when it comes to an NFL suspension.
Update I: Exit question from Hot Air: Lifetime suspension? I can’t believe they’d torpedo one of the top two or three talents in the league. Then again, if the fallout’s already this bad …
