Unemployed and Uninspired Youth Vote Abandoning Barack Obama in 2012 as Compared to the 2008′s Hope & Change Vote (VIDEO)

Look what happens when college kids are promised the world then graduate only to find themselves with no job with no hope to get one.

What a difference four years makes. The enthusiasm of the youth vote, age 18 to 29, from 2008 that helped Barack Obama win election is down dramatically in 2012. In the 2008 Presidential election Obama outdistanced John McCain 66% to 32% with the Youth vote. However, according to a recent Fox News poll only 55% of the youth vote is for Obama and 31% for Mitt Romney. The 10 percentage point drop in the youth vote can only be described by Democrats as one thing … racism.

As reported at The Blaze, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Saturday the young people who turned out in droves to vote Barack Obama into office were promised  “pie in the sky” — but what they got was “pie in the face.”

“A lot of these kids who were all excited about Barack Obama four years ago either got out of college or they’re in college now,” Huckabee said during Fox News’ “Fox & Friends Weekend.“ ”What they’re finding, they’re $45,000 on average in student debt when they got out of school and they can‘t get a job and they’re moving back in with mom and dad. That’s not exactly the hope and the change they were looking for.”

He said those voters wouldn’t necessarily break for Romney — more likely, they’ll just stay home.

“But if they stay home, that’s devastating for Barack Obama. He has to have that youth vote,” Huckabee said.

It’s not just the Fox News poll that shows that Obama has lost his mojo with the youth vote, but also with a recent national survey of young voters taken by Hiram College’s Garfield Institute for Public Leadership. This poll shows that Obama has lost 7% with young voters and an even more surprising piece of data gleamed form the poll is that its a 43%-43% tie as to who they think is better suited to strengthen the economy and create jobs.

The June poll shows President Obama’s support has dropped significantly since both the 2008 Presidential campaign and this January.

President Obama is preferred by 50 percent of voters age 18-29. Mitt Romney is the choice of 37 percent.

Young voters are evenly divided on whether the President and Democrats or Romney and Republicans have more ability to strengthen the economy and create jobs, 43% to 43%.

The result is that the young voters might just stay home that would be devastating to Barack Obama’s reelection chances.
