SHAMEFUL … MISLEADING? WHAT NBC PUT FORTH WAS A FALSEHOOD AND A LIE … WHEN MEDIA BIAS TURNS INTO A FLAT OUT MISREPRESENTATION OF THE FACTS AND REPORTS A LIE …
We have always said that the MSM would never lets the facts get in the way of a good made up story. However, this might take the cake. NBC News knowingly produced a doctored audio tape that they knew would draw the ire of many and fan the flames of racism while boosting their viewership as they exploited a tragic news story.
An NBC producer has been fired who took part in the production of the doctored and misleading George Zimmerman tape. Sorry, but this tape was not only misleading, it was deceptive. The audio segment in question was shown on NBC’s “Today” show on March 27, 2012. The audio included George Zimmerman making comments regarding Trayvon Martin saying, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.” However, what NBC broadcast on air was nothing of what actually happened as they took Zimmerman’s word out of context and edited out the 9-11 dispatchers questions. NBC had opened an internal investigation after it was shown that the edited and inflammatory audio segment that was played resembled nothing of the original 9-11 tape between the operator and Zimmerman.
NBC News has fired a producer who was involved in the production of a misleading segment about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida.
The person was fired on Thursday, according to two people with direct knowledge of the disciplinary action who declined to be identified discussing internal company matters. They also declined to name the fired producer. A spokeswoman for NBC News declined to comment.
The action came in the wake of an internal investigation by NBC News into the production of the segment, which strung together audio clips in such a way that made George Zimmerman’s shooting of Mr. Martin sound racially motivated. Ever since the Feb. 26 shooting, there has been a continuing debate about whether race was a factor in the incident.
What is unbelievable is that NBC refused to give the producers name. This guy and NBC does a hatched job on Zimmerman and fans the flames of racism in the death of Trayvon Martin, but he gets to remain anonymous. Are you joking?
Sorry, but a half-hearted apology and the firing of a producer is not going to cut it. Not when the doctored audio tape made it all the way through NBC execs and on air. An audio tape that was intended to show Zimmerman in a racist light. As stated at NewsBusters, “until the network releases the name of the person and explains its theory that the edit was not deliberate, its credibility is still under question.” Agreed. Since when have we ever heard of a media outlet editing a 9-11 call? There would be no purpose other than to do it purposely.
Listen to the VIDEO below of the FULL 9-11 call from Zimmerman along with others as well
Warning: language
This is what the actual conversation between Zimmerman and the 9-11 dispatcher actual read.
ZIMMERMAN: This guy looks like he’s up to no good, [begin ellipsis] or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining, and he’s just walking around, looking about.
911 DISPATCHER: Okay, is this guy, is he white, black, or Hispanic?
ZIMMERMAN: He looks black.
Listen to the below VIDEO and hear the doctored NBC News audio
According to reports, the people with direct knowledge of the firing characterized the misleading edit as a mistake, not a purposeful act. Um, that is actually hard to believe. Why would some one take out dispatcher questions and only have Zimmerman speaking making comments that would make one assume that Zimmerman racially profiled and hunted a black man down. All NBC did was fan the flames of racism. That was the effect of their doctored audio tape. How could that have not been purposeful?
Look for a defamation of character law suit to come from this.
