Mark Steyn Gives Obama “the Smartest President Ever” a “F” in Christopher Columbus World is Flat and Rutherford B. Hayes History

To those who drink the Obama Kool-Aid, the laugh just might be on you.

We have been told that Barack Obama was the smartest President ever when he was elected in. Obama was supposed to be so far superior in intellect than anyone we had ever seen in the history of the United States. Hardly, in the past 3+ years he has shown us quite the opposite .  However, to say anything to the contrary against Obama and you are branded a racists and laughed at. What is most troubling about Obama is either he is this ignorant or he is purposely misinforming people.  What Obama just might be is the most academically laziest President ever.

MSM & Obamaites drink the Kool-aid and never question or think for themselves …

Even aside from the fact of electing the first African American President and whatever one’s partisan views this is a guy whose IQ is off the charts — I mean you cannot say that he is anything but a very serious and capable leader and — you know — You and I have talked about this for years …”

Obama delivering his big, know-it-all speech on energy at Prince George’s Community College where he stated that all of out energy concerns would be alleviated as soon as we used wind mills and algae. Who knew? He then went on to condemn those who snickered and scoffed at his ridiculous and uninformed comments.

Let me tell you something. If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail — [Laughter] — they must have been founding members of the Flat Earth Society. [Laughter.] They would not have believed that the world was round. [Applause.] We’ve heard these folks in the past. They probably would have agreed with one of the pioneers of the radio who said, “Television won’t last. It’s a flash in the pan.” [Laughter.] One of Henry Ford’s advisers was quoted as saying, “The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a fad.” [Laughter.]

But wait, there is more:

There always have been folks who are the naysayers and don’t believe in the future, and don’t believe in trying to do things differently. One of my predecessors, Rutherford B. Hayes, reportedly said about the telephone, “It’s a great invention, but who would ever want to use one?” [Laughter.] That’s why he’s not on Mount Rushmore — [laughter and applause] — because he’s looking backwards. He’s not looking forwards. [Applause.] He’s explaining why we can’t do something, instead of why we can do something.

So I ask the question, how intelligent could Obama really be if he not only regurgitates uniformed comments, but also tries to demean US presidents that have come before him and does so in a disingenuous manner? Be very careful Barack before you try and smear a former President of the United States. Before you do decide to use such unflattering words against Rutherford B. Hayes, maybe you might want to actually do some research on the man and not be lazy.

Enter Mark Steyn from NRO dispelling Barack Obama’s facts, providing a history lesson to “The One” and giving Obama a “F” in history. The crowd loved Obama, the Comedian in Chief’s one liners and mocking comments made toward Republicans and any who would dare go against his energy vision. There is just one problem, all of Obama’s so called comments regarding Christopher Columbus and the world is flat believes and Rutherford B. Hayes were patently incorrect. Folks, before you buy what is coming out of Obama’s mouth and decide to laugh, you might want to actually determine whether it is true or not. Then again, those that follow Obama care little about the truth or whether this President is actually doing right for America. When a President has a near 50-50 approval-disapproval rating, yet inside the same poll Obama only has a 26% and 32% approval rating on handling the economy and gas prices, it becomes evident that there are many who are disingenuous at best.

 I was interested in the rest of Obama’s yukfest of history’s biggest idiots. Considering that he is (in the words of historian Michael Beschloss) “the smartest guy ever to become president,” the entire passage sounded as if it was plucked straight from one of those “Top Twenty Useful Quotes for Forward-Looking Inspirational Speakers” websites. And whaddayaknow? Rutherford B. Hayes, the TV flash in the pan, the horse is here to stay — they’re all at the Wikiquote page on “Incorrect Predictions.” Fancy that! Christopher Columbus? Once upon a time, your average well-informed high-schooler, never mind the smartest president in history, understood that Columbus was laughed at not because everyone believed the world was round: Educated Europeans of his day accepted that the earth was spherical and had done since Aristotle’s time. They laughed because they thought he was taking the long way round to the East Indies. Which he was.

So let’s see. The president sneers at the ignorance of 15th-century Spaniards, when in fact he is the one entirely ignorant of them. A man who has enjoyed a million dollars of elite education yet has never created a dime of wealth in his life sneers at a crippled farm boy with an eighth-grade schooling who establishes a successful business and introduces electrical distribution across Michigan all the way up to Sault Ste. Marie.

Polipundit has a poll that shows that although their readers are informed; however, there is about a third who are misinformed … including Barack Obama.

Then again, when you think that there is 57 states in the US and you get your daughters ages incorrect, what else do you expect from Obama?
