Hey America Shoppers … Get a Clue as to The Reason for the Season (Crazed Shoppers, Arrests, Insanity)

What the hell is wrong with people?

During the Christmas holiday season, hopefully American shoppers can remember the “REASON FOR THE SEASON”. Hint, it’s not about waiting foolishly in line for hours awaiting a store to open at 4am on Black Friday. It’s not about acting like a third world country rushing a caravan for food, while you storm into a store trampling over people like you are at a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati..

It would appear that Black Friday 2010 and consumerism has brought out the worst in many. Just a reminder to many misguided people, learn a Christmas lesson from Linus Van Pelt as to what Christmas is all about:

Shoppers waited out in the cold wet weather for hours for the Target doors to open at 4 a.m. the Black Friday when they decided to trample each other.

Seconds after the doors opened, something went dangerously wrong. Crazed Black Friday shoppers began piling up on each other.

“It went from controlled to a mob in less than five minutes and it just got nasty,” said a shopper.

When officials heard the screams, they ran over right away to help.

Shopper Rich Mathewson said, “It was a lot of angry people just jumping in after we waited patiently for a long time. It actually started way before that, people started getting angry at everybody.”

Not to be outdone, Police were called after customers rush door at Toys R Us near Appleton, WI. What ever happened to civility? What ever happened to people just entering a store like they normally would instead of like out of control savages?

When the doors opened, everyone rushed the door. The store’s staff quickly became overwhelmed, locked the door and called police for assistance.

A staffer repeatedly yelled, “back up” to those standing around the door. Customers who’d been waiting hours chanted “end of line” to those who’d just arrived.

Then we have a shoplifter stabbing a marine in Augusta, GA outside a Best Buy as the scum tried to lift a laptop computer. Thankfully, the shoplifter was held until police came and was arrested.

Best Buy sales manager Orvin Smith told The Augusta Chronicle that man was seen on surveillance cameras Friday putting a laptop under his jacket at the Augusta store.

When confronted, the man became irate, knocked down an employee, pulled a knife and ran toward the door. Outside were four Marines collecting toys for the service branch’s “Toys For Tots” program.

Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of them, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back. The cut did not appear to be severe.

The woman, 29 year old Requita Sullivan of Indianapolis, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of trespass, a misdemeanor.
