Body of David Hartley Murdered by Mexican Pirates/Drug Cartel Still Missing in Falcon Lake between Texas & Mexico

US-Mexican border security just took on a new look in the murder of David Michael Hartley. It is not always about a fence, some times it is about the water separating the two countries as well. How many people must die before the US takes border security serious?
Tiffany & David Michael Hartley
The body of 30 year old American citizen David Hartley is still missing after he was shot in the head and murdered by Mexican pirates on Thursday afternoon on Falcon Lake while he and his wife were jet skiing. David Michael Hartley and his wife Tiffany were on jet skis near the historic submerged Mexican town of Guerrero Viejowhen two boats approached them and opened fire. Police believe the Mexican pirates were working for one of the local drug cartels … surprise, surprise, surprise.
However, Zapata County Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr. said that area is said to be in the control of Zetas and other drug gang followers.
Gonzalez said the couple from McAllen had been taking photos when men in two boats opened fire, striking Hartley in the back of the head.
Unable to rescue her fatally wounded husband, he said Hartley’s wife sped off on her jet ski, pursued into U.S. waters by the gunmen, bullets hitting the waters around her.
As of Friday evening, there had been no sign of Hartley’s body in the vast waters of Falcon Lake.
The Texas recon teams, U.S. Border Patrol and others are limited to the American side of the 14 International Water markers in Falcon Lake.
Tragically, the murdered mans wife tried to rescue him as Mexican pirates fired at them. She was forced to make a decision to save herself as the Mexican bandits murdered David Michael Hartley infront of her.
Devastated by the loss of her husband of eight years, Tiffany breaks down when talking about the horrific afternoon that came just a week before the couple planned to move back to Loveland.
But she wants to talk about it, to make people aware of the border violence and to inspire change.
“We were just tourists looking at a church,” she said. “I want (the violence) to stop. It’s stupid.
“The U.S. needs to tighten up on their borders. They need to get more people down here working on their border.”
And Mexico needs to do the same, Tiffany said.
The frantic 911 tape went as follows:
Dispatcher: Hello? Ma’am? Yes. Okay. Are you sure that your husband got shot?
Tiffany: Yes. In his head.
Dispatcher: Okay. Yeah. Was he thrown out of the jet ski that he’s in the water or something?
Tiffany: He was thrown off the jet ski and I couldn’t pick him up to get him on mine. (sobbing)
Oh God.
Dispatcher: Ma’am? Were you shot at on the Mexican side or on the US side? So it was the Mexican Side. Okay, did you see anybody?
Tiffany: There were three boats.
