Yes Virgina, there is a Santa Claus, MSNBC confronts Allan Grayson as his act wearing thin with Florida voters …
Democrat incumbent Alan Grayson (FL-US 8 District) is behind in the polls to Republican Daniel Webster by 7%. It would appear that the voters in Florida are fed up with the outrageous, inflammatory and obnoxious antics of Alan Grayson. His latest attack political ad, Taliban Dan, was over the top and reprehensible even for Grayson’s standards. However, as many have come to realize, Grayson has no standards.
Hot Air points out the VIDEO of the confrontation between Grayson and MSNBC. You know it is bad for Democrats when you are called on the carpet by MSNBC for his “Taliban Dan” political ad which has backfired … How bad does it get for Grayson … he fires back during the interview at MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer for not discussing woman’s issues. If one did not know better, one would have thought that Grayson was doing a FOX News interview.
MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer confronts Grayson
In one of the most closely watched U.S. House races in the nation, Republican Daniel Webster now holds a 7-point lead over Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson in Central Florida’s 8th Congressional District, according to a new Sunshine State News Poll.
Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27. TEA (“Taxed Enough Already”) Party candidate Peg Dunmire drew 6 percent and NPA hopeful George Metcalfe garnered 3 percent, while 9 percent remained undecided (2 percent cited “other” and 1 percent refused to state).
Digging deeper, the numbers look even worse for Grayson as 51 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of the Orlando-area congressman.
“Grayson has real problems here,” said Jim Lee, president of Voter Survey Service, which conducted the poll for Sunshine State News.
Here is a badge of honor for US Rep. Grayson, he is more unpopular than President Obama.
“He’s even more unpopular than the president, which is not surprising given how controversial he has been with his rhetoric, overall style and TV ads.”
Lee added, “It’s fascinating that both Grayson and the president have virtually the same image (a positive/negative ratio of 34/51), but Grayson is actually disliked more by independents (36/47 favorable/unfavorable) while Obama is only 36/37.”
So much for softball interviews for Alan Grayson on MSNBC. Rep. Alan Grayson’s ‘Taliban’ ad backfires …
But FactCheck.org says the narrative crafted by the Florida Democrat’s campaign distorts what Webster was actually saying.
“Grayson has lowered the bar even further. He’s using edited video to make his rival appear to be saying the opposite of what he really said,” the nonpartisan site, sponsored by the Annenberg Public Policy Center, wrote on its blog Monday.
…
Grayson was also reprimanded by the Orlando Sentinel, which posted a story Monday headlined “Grayson’s ‘Taliban Dan’ Ad Takes Webster’s Words Out of Context, Twists Meaning.”
“By twisting Webster’s words, Grayson risks eroding some of the support he may have won from independent voters,” the paper concluded.
