Delaware Senate seat, all but lost for Democrats …

Once again Democrats and especially the Obama White House will appear to have major spinning to do the day after the 2010 midterm elections this November as VP Joe Biden’s former DE Senate seat is all but lost.

Republican candidate Mike Castle has a 55% to 32% lead over the Democrat challenger Chris Coons.

The U.S. Senate race in Delaware is virtually unchanged over the past two months, with Republican Mike Castle continuing to draw strong support from the state’s voters.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Delaware shows Castle picking up 55% support to Democrat Chris Coons’ 32%. Seven percent (7%) of the state’s voters prefer some other candidate, while another seven percent (7%) are undecided.

Like in most all races across the country this Fall, Democrats are struggling with the independent vote. Castle leads by a 4 to 1 margins with voter not affiliated to either major party. He also leads among both male and female voters.

What are the catastrophic losses that Democrats face in the Senate races? Democrats already lost Ted Kennedy’s former Senate seat in MA to Republican Scott Brown.  Democrats are trailing in Illinois with President Obama’s former Senate seat and Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate Majority leader is trailing badly in Nevada.

We the People will have an opportunity during this midterm election to send and loud and clear message to Obama, Democrats and Republicans.
