Barack Obama Now Wants Republicans to Join Health Care Debate on TV

Now Mr. President? After a year of preventing Republicans from the health care process, you now want to include them, so what changed? After all this time of claiming to be bi-partisan, now Obama wants the appearance of reaching across the aisle.
Obama still playing games with Americans health care
President Barack Hussein Obama stated in an interview with Katie Couric stated that he wanted to meet with Republicans to discuss health care reform. Oh, and the meeting would be televised and Obama looked forward to hearing Republican ideas.
President Barack Obama is planning to host a televised meeting with Republican and Democratic congressional leaders on health care reform.
The Feb. 25 meeting is an attempt to reach across the aisle but not a signal that the president plans to start over, as Republicans have demanded, a White House official said.
“I want to come back [after the Presidents Day congressional recess] and have a large meeting — Republicans and Democrats — to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,” Obama said in an interview with Katie Couric during CBS’s Super Bowl pre-game show Sunday.
My what a difference the election of Republican Senator from Massachusetts Scott Brown makes. Does anyone think that this “so-called” bi-partisan meeting would be occurring if Dems had not lost the filibuster-proof majority?
Want a road map to health care … START FROM SCRATCH! Actually, Americans want the focus taken off health care and put on jobs. Americans do not trust the Presidents plan to lower costs.
Obama looks to get ideas from Republicans; however, I have one question to the President … I thought you said you were including them all along? You stated it was the Republicans that were being the Party of “No”. So in the end, President Obama lied to the public and never included the Republicans in any of the discussions, otherwise why would he need to now?
Obama said he wants to “look at the Republican ideas that are out there.”
“If we can go, step by step, through a series of these issues and arrive at some agreements, then, procedurally, there’s no reason why we can’t do it a lot faster the process took last year,” he said.
A note to Republicans, the American poeple do not want the health care system overhauled, we want it tweaked and fixes made where they are needed. Just say no to Obamacare.
Red State is spot on as to what President Obama wants Republicans to do when he is asking to meet suddenly to discuss health care in their post, ‘The 19 Televised Pleadings by Obama to the GOP on Health Care.’ This has nothing to do with bi-partisan health care, it has everything to do with dragging Republicans down to the poll levels that Democrats have with the American public with their unpopular legislation.
1) Please won’t you help us spend $2.5 trillion we don’t have?
2) Please won’t you join us in enraging the independent voters and your base?
3) Please won’t you believe that if I will agree with any of your policies, I can get Senator Reid and the Speaker to enact it? (snipped, read the rest)
Beware Republicans and American public … As referenced by Blue Crab Boulevard, this is a trap and an ambush. The Republicans are about to walk into The Little Big Horn or I refer to it as Christians led into the Roman Colosseum. This is a photo-op ploy and a politicization of the health care debate.
In other words, join Obama in the televised auto de fe, but he will do what he intends regardless.
Republicans would be crazy to rise to this bait. A big photo-op for Obama with zero chance for any meaningful changes to a bill that steals liberty from American citizens. Kill the bill(s) and start over from scratch.
Do not walk into this, Republicans. Standing strong against this abomination has worked so far and the American public is grateful. (Need proof? Look to Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey.)
Republicans know that “We the People” do not want Obamacare renovated … we want any form of health care to start from scratch. Stick to your guns Republicans otherwise you will not take over the House or Senate in November. Instead, you will be looked upon the same as the Democrats who cared nothing of the will of the People.
Republicans, go against the will of the people and you are no different than Democrats.
