Harry Reid Senate Troubles: Support for Obamacare Below 40% in Nevada

Will Senate Majority leader Harry Reid pay the ultimate price for being the standard bearer of Obamacare? Will the over all disapproval of Obamacare cost Reid his seat in 2010?
Reid walking the political healthcare plank for Obama
There is real trouble for Democrat Senate Majority leader Harry Reid and Obamacare in Nevada. A recent poll by the Las Vegas Review-Journal reveals that 53 % of Nevadans oppose Obamacare and Barack Obama’s attempt to provide a remedy for problems in the nation’s health care system. At real issue, only 39% support Obamacare in Nevada. So much for Reid doing the work of the people who voted him to office.
The telephone poll of 625 registered voters found that 53 percent of Nevadans oppose the president’s attempt to provide a remedy for problems in the nation’s health care system. Support for the plan is at 39 percent.
That’s a 4 percentage point difference in both categories from an October poll that showed support at 43 percent and opposition at 49 percent, almost within that poll’s margin of error. Now the gap is at 14 points and opposition in Obama’s own Democratic Party is climbing, from 15 percent in October to 23 percent in the most recent poll.
The poll plainly shows that Nevada voters do not want Obamacare to pass and that Harry Reid will most likely suffer the consequences in 2010 for trying to force the Democrat government take over of health care down the throats of his own constituents. Obama and Democrats cannot get beyond the obvious and the discontent of the voters belief that Obamacare will raise taxes, cut Medicare and ration health care. Try as Obama and Democrats may to misrepresent what Obamacare will do, the people do not trust or believe Democrat spin. As Obama’s poll numbers sink, less and less Dems are willing to walk the plank for him. Do so, and you do at your own peril.
Fueling discontent with the bill, the poll shows, is the growing belief by Nevadans that Obama’s reform package will raise taxes, result in rationing of health care, and cause major cuts to Medicare programs.
A recent LV Journal Review December poll shows that Harry Reid trails both Republican challengers, Tarkanian and Lowden, 48%-42% and 51%-41%, respectively.
Is it any wonder as well why Barack Obama finds his poll numbers sinking below the 50% mark in every poll? This President demanded that there be transparency, yet his White House and dealings with his partisan Congress have been nothing short of Nixonian. Every time we turn around this WH is having a closed door meeting.
How much transparency does any believe there will be when Obama runs to the Seante to herd the Democrat controlled Senate to his Obamacare bill? Can you say none! Honestly what could Obama really promise to the moderate Senators who oppose Obamacare? Really, you will not lose the next election like Harry Reid is about to, I promise. Really, my poll numbers that are now below 50% are not a direct reflection upon this terrible piece of legislation that no one wants. Really, you must back this health care bill or you will embarrass me politically. Because after all, it is all about “ME” … The Obamamessiah.
