Arrest Made in Heinous Double Murder of French Students Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez

According to Scotland Yard, a 21 year old man has been arrested in the brutal double murder of two French students, Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, in England.

The Metropolitan Police said the man was arrested and is in custody at a police station in south-east London

The 21-year-old suspect was arrested in the street at 3:40 am (0240 GMT) and was being held in custody at a police station in southeast London. He is the first suspect to be arrested in the investigation.

“Our appeals for witnesses and information after the double murder still apply and we continue to urge people who may be able to assist to come forward,” London’s Metropolitan Police added in a statement.

The two French students studying in London, England were brutally tortured, stabbed to death and found in a burnt London flat. UPDATE II: British police have charged a 33-year-old Nigel Farmer with murder and arson

The suspect, Nigel Farmer, also is charged with “attempting to pervert the cause of justice,” according to a statement released by the Metropolitan Police.

Police arrested Farmer when he walked into a police station Monday. He will appear in court Thursday to face the charges, at which time he may enter a plea.

Farmer is charged in the killings of Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, both 23. Their bodies were found in Bonomo’s burned-out apartment in southeast London on June 29, the victims of what the lead detective in the case, Mick Duthie, last week called a “frenzied, brutal, horrific attack.”

UPDATE III: 3 arrested over London’s brutal murder

A 33-year-old man along with two other people is arrested by the police in London over the brutal murder of two French students.

The man, Nigel Edward Farmer was charged with the murder on Wednesday while the other two have simply been arrested.

Metropolitan police charged Farmer with the murders of Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo on June 29. He is scheduled to appear at Greenwich magistrates’ court on Thursday.

Other charges brought against Farmer include arson and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

This is while the other two people under arrest over the killings have only been described as a 35-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman and were taken into custody in south London, AP reported.
