Wizards Once Again Become Washington Bullets During Christmas Eve Gun Argument Between Gilbert Arenas & Javaris Crittenton (Update: Bad Judgment)

Posted in: Crime,Sports,WTF

How ironic that the Washington Wizards used to be called the Washington Bullets have a pistols duel in the locker room. GOOD GRIEF! The NBA gets yet another black eye by the actions of their players. Just yet another reason why so many are turned off by the present day players in the NBA.

Washington Wizards teammate  drew guns on each other in the team’s locker room during a Christmas Eve fight over a gambling debt. Welcome to NBA thug life where players feel the need to pack heat and act all gangsta.

Gilbert Arenas, 27, went for his gun first, the Post reported, citing unnamed inside sources. His teammate Javaris Crittenton, 22, allegedly brandished a firearm as well.

It was unclear whether other teammates saw the standoff inside the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., the Post reported.

The Wizards announced on Christmas Day that Arenas had admitted to bringing guns to the locker room and had turned them over to team security. The NBA club’s statement didn’t disclose how Wizards officials discovered that Arenas was storing weapons on the job.

Nice, on Christmas Eve. So much for that Peace on Earth and Good Will toward man stuff. So no one has been arrested or charged with any crimes? Um possession, criminal threats with a weapon, anything? How about suspensions? NOTHING!

How I long for the days of Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson and the glory days of the NBA. Today’s thug live wannabees are just not not worth watching or tolerating.

UPDATE I: Wizard’s Gilbert Arenas admits he used “bad judgment”

Gee, ya think? It is SPIN CONTROL in full force mode as Gilbert Arenas skates on the issues of guns and gambling.

Gilbert Arenas said Saturday he used “bad judgment” in bringing guns into the Washington Wizards locker room. He also denied that he gambles and said there are misconceptions in the various stories about a dispute between himself and teammate Javaris Crittenton
