Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers QB, is accessed and has been named in a sexual assault civil lawsuit by a woman who was employed at a Lake Tahoe, Nevada Harrah’s resort. The alleged incident was supposed to have taken place last year during a celebrity golf tournament. The lawsuit also names either other defendants associated with the hotel.
The lawsuit was filed Friday and names eight other defendants, accusing the hotel’s security chief and other hotel employees of defamation and failing to properly investigate her accusation against Roethlisberger.
An attorney for Roethlisberger, David Cornwell, denied that Roethlisberger sexually assaulted the woman.

Roethlisberger canceled a Thursday press conference at the Steelers’ facilities according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He was scheduled to promote the reality television show Shaq Vs. Filming of the show, which pits NBA star Shaquille O’Neal against top athletes in their respective sports (including Roethlisberger in football.
TMZ is reporting that the woman tried to report the assault to hotel security the day that it occurred; however, the “guy blew her off and threatened her job”. This is interesting, TMZ is also naming the accuser, Andrea McNulty.
In her lawsuit filed last week in Nevada, Andrea McNulty claims Guy Hyder — the chief of security at Harrah’s in Lake Tahoe — told her she was “over-reacting” and that “most girls would feel lucky to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger.”
NFL looks into allegations against Roethlisberger
“I don’t know enough of the details, but it’s a civil lawsuit. It’s something that we obviously will look into,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday when asked about it in New York during an unrelated news conference. “I’ve been in touch with the Steelers about it.”
Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett said the team was aware of the lawsuit, and “we are gathering information.”
