The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has discovered 5 bodies Saturday morning in two different houses in Lincoln County, TN. According to reports, some of the victims were related. TBI does have a suspect in custody in the slayings of five people in southern Tennessee.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tennessee – A suspect is in custody in the slayings of five people in southern Tennessee, officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
Lincoln County Sheriff Murray Blackwelder stated that his department is investigating three crime scenes involving five or more victims. The victims’ names have not been released or that of the suspect. Sheriff Blackwelder would also not confirm the causes of death.
UPDATE I: The Tennessean is reporting that there is a 6th victim in Huntsville, Al.
UPDATE II: According to CNN, Suspect identified as Jacob Lee Shafer, who faces murder charges
Jacob Lee Shafer has been questioned by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and faces charges of murder in the deaths of five people in Tennessee and one person in Alabama, said TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm.
WFSA is reporting that Jacob Lee Shafer has confessed to the killings.
UPDATE III: Jacob Lee Shafer charged with with five counts of homicide for the Tennessee deaths and faced an additional count in Alabama.
30 year old Jacob Lee Shafer was charged with 5 counts of homicide for the deaths that took place in Tennessee and one additional count of homicide for the death in Alabama. Police say that Shafer was sitting on his porch when authorities arrived to arrest him. Shafer’s victims consisted of four adults and two juveniles; however, their names have yet to be released.
Lincoln County Sheriff Murray Blackwelder said at a news conference that his department is investigating three crime scenes, though he did not elaborate. He did not release the victims’ names and would not confirm the causes of death in what he called “horrendous” killings and “one of the worst crimes Lincoln County has seen.”
Helm said the Tennessee victims were killed Friday night or early Saturday. Shaffer was sitting on the porch of one of the Fayetteville houses when authorities first arrived Saturday.
