Posted in: Bizarre,Crime,WTF

The FBI is looking for leads that will give them a leg up on the man dubbed “the limping bandit” Limping Banditwho is responsible for more than 19 bank robberies across the South in the past two years. It appears that robbing banks is a profession that does not discriminate against those with disabilities. Of course one needs to ask the obvious question, why can’t the man be caught after he robs the bank, its not like he is going to get very far very fast on foot.

The FBI is looking for a man dubbed the “limping bandit,” who is believed to be behind more than 19 bank robberies across the South in the past two years.

Investigators say he’s held up banks in Tallahassee, Perry, and Lake City, Florida. He’s also been spotted in Dothan, Alabama, and in the southern part of South Carolina.

The man has freckles and walks with a limp. He’s been seen wearing a collared shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses. Sometimes, investigators say, he puts his sunglasses on the rim of his hat.

Authorities say he’s pretty discreet during the robberies. He walks in calmly, pulls out a gun, quietly asks for cash and walks out.

He is described as a man between the ages of 30 and 50, about 5’8″ to 6’0″ tall, weighing between 190 and 250 pounds with strawberry blond or red hair.

He usually wears a shirt with a collar, like a polo, as opposed to a T-shirt.
