Democrats find 4.500 votes more than Registered Voters

What is the bigger crime. The City of Milwaukee having 4,500 more votes cast than REGISTERED VOTERS, or the fact that U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic failed to work hard enough to get to the bottom of the issue? I think that both instances are reprehensible.

281,500 votes were cast in a district with 277,000 voters who were registered. So even if we are moronic enough to believe that 100% turnout was conceivable, then more people voted than were registered. Captain Ed posts a great point on the matter.

Having 4,500 more ballots than registered voters doesn’t mean that 4500 extra votes were cast. It means many more thousands of extra votes were cast, unless Milwaukee normally gets 100% turnout for every election. Milwaukee had over 277,000 ballots cast in the election, and even if that accounted for 90% of the registered voters in the city, it would still mean 30,000 extra ballots before you even get to an overage.

This is horrifying unto itself, but the reaction of the US Attorney Steven Biskupic is even worse. We find a case of corruption that is impossible to explain away. We have an investigation and the US Attorney Steven Biskupic fails to find any evidence beyond isolated instances. That is the real crime going on here.

Voter fraud has to be stopped. We are looking at 2 elections that have been close enough that “every vote must count” is turning into the truth. Here we had a case that showed fraud, and our government essentially says we will look away. What will happen in 2008? Will we say it is open season? We every voter not be held to one vote, but however many they can attempt? If you do not prosecute these instances, why not?

We need to address the issue of voter fraud today, not before there is a constitutional crisis. Look at the State of Washington if you need an example.

This really raise my ire.As a Republic, we are only as strong as our laws. When US Attorney Steven Biskupic fails to properly apply them, people will not respect the laws. These same Democrats slashed the tires of the Republican poll workers. Are we surprised? And when it happens again 5 fold, are we going to look away?

 I hope not.
