Why are people in Sports making the headlines for all the wrong reasons? Whether its football, baseball or basketball, all have major scandals occurring as well as some bizarre behavior if performed off the baseball diamond would be considered felony assault. Has the elite sports athlete lost their minds? Why would those in sports, who do a job whether it be player or referee, that anyone else would dream of … give it all up and risk their careers?
Michael Vick is swimming up a river without the proverbial paddle. Prosecutors has given Vick until Friday to “Deal or no deal“. Michael Vick is all but looking at jail time, it just a matter of how much. He is also looking at most likely the end of a career as with new NFL rules in place, who would want to inherit this baggage no matter what the talent.
Ex-NBA Referee Tim Donaghy Pleads Guilty in NBA Betting Scandal
Donaghy faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced for conspiracy to engage in wire fraud and transmitting wagering information through interstate commerce. He was released on a $250,000 bond. Donaghy also must pay a $500,000 fine and at least $30,000 in restitution.
As the steroid cloud remains over Major League Baseball, we have players like Jose Offerman that think that some how getting hit by a pitch means you can go after someone with a baseball bat.
