So How Does Obama’s Young Illegal Immigrants’ Amnesty Affect Competition for Jobs & College With Legal Americans?

Barack Obama, when you can’t run on the past 3+ failed years, 8.2% unemployment, record number of Americans on food stamps, a failed $787 billion stimulus plan, failed green energy companies, Obamacare and a terrible job recovery plan … you conquer, divide, play another race card and change the narrative strictly for political reasons.

Barack Obama, the Politician in Chief turned his back on America and the US Constitution so to pander to Hispanics for his reelection.  Thus the reason why a President should never be allowed to make a unilateral change in immigration policy … when its done 100% for political reelection reasons, damn the American economy and actual legal Americans.

‘Barack Obama does not even believe he has the authority to grant amnesty to certain illegals by executive order’

President Barack Obama bypassed Congress and changed immigration policy for a segment of the “illegal” immigrants on Friday with his passage of an Executive order offering legal status to some undocumented immigrants under the age of 30.  Forget whether Obama had the right to make such a law and single out a specific group of people, what about the affects that such a “political” act will have on the economy, and those legal Americans to compete for jobs and education? Suddenly 85,000, maybe more, work permits are going to be given to “illegals” and flood the market.

President Obama has just opened a floodgate of opportunity for young illegal immigrants in the United States, but could it squeeze the aspirations of legal Americans in the process?

Across the nation Friday, immigrant advocates and Hispanic youth groups hailed Obama’s decision to offer legal status to some undocumented immigrants under 30 as a watershed in U.S. immigration history and a long-sought victory for ambitious youths denied a chance to realize the American dream.

But opponents of illegal immigration warned that the policy could create significant new competition for jobs and university slots at a time of nationwide recession and numerous states’ efforts to curb public spending.

“I see a tidal wave coming,” said Brad Botwin, president of Help Save Maryland, a group that opposes legalization for undocumented immigrants. “Half of our college graduates today can’t find jobs, and the unemployment rate for high-school-aged Americans is extremely high. This is unfair to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants who are out there struggling to get ahead.”

So how will this affect the present day economy? What is going to happen when 85,000 illegals descend up[on the US employment market? As stated at Hot Air, with unemployment at 8.2%, the civilian participation rate at near record lows and the US not even being able to create enough jobs to keep up with population growth, this was hardly the time to pass such an act. Thus we can see what Obama did had nothing to do with making the American economy better, it had everything to do with pandering to Hispanics for their vote and his reelection. Obama is not about America, he is about Obama.

But now?  We’re not creating enough jobs to keep up with population growth as it is.  With this new policy in place, Obama will introduce hundreds of thousands of suddenly-eligible workers into an economy with an 8.2% nominal unemployment rate, a 14.8% U-6 un/underemployed rate, with a civilian participation rate that has plummeted from 65.7% at the start of the Obama recovery in June 2009 (the same as it was when he took office, too) to 63.8%, lower than it was when Reagan faced his first midterm election.  Those who are already struggling to find jobs are not only going to face more competition for those slots, the glut of labor will depress entry-level wages even further.

Then there is the big question, did Obama have the constitutional authority to suspend deportations to illegals? The many on that list as stated at Michelle Malkin.com include Barack Obama. Even the NY Times did not call it and “executive order,” they called it an “executive action”.
