Not good new for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange …

A UK court has given the green light to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to Sweden. Assange is being accused of sex crimes in Sweden. Judge Howard Riddle dismissed the arguments by the WikiLeaks attorneys that their client could not get a fair trial in Sweden and ordered Assange be extradited. Assange’s lawyer said they would appeal against the decision.

A British court has agreed to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to Sweden where he is accused of sex crimes, dismissing claims such a move would breach his human rights.

Swedish prosecutors want to question Assange about allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denies, made by two WikiLeaks volunteers during his time in Sweden last August.

The LA Times reports: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange ordered extradited in sexual assault case.

Speaking to a packed London courtroom, Judge Howard Riddle said Swedish prosecutors’ request that Assange be handed over was valid and reasonable for their investigation into allegations that he sexually abused two women last August.
