Sarah Palin Confronted by Leftist Protesting “so-called” Teacher in Homer, Alaska

You know when you know when you are dealing with an unhinged, snarky Leftist … when they start the conversation with “You swore on your precious Bible”.Thus began the conversation between Sarah Palin and this snarky, presumed school teacher in Homer, Alaska. Our instinct was correct as you will read below the fold … as we have learned in dealing with the Left, they are never what they claim to be.

Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we practice to deceive.

Sarah Palin was involved in a brief argument over the weekend with an Alaska teacher over her decision to leave her post as governor of Alaska halfway through her term.

The dustup occurred in Homer, Alaska, where Palin appeared over the weekend to film part of her coming television series on TLC.

Palin was greeted in the town by Kathleen Gustafson, a self-identified teacher, who was holding a sign that read: “Worst Governor Ever.”

After seeing the sign, Palin walked over to speak to Gustafson. The video is spreading quickly Monday on several liberal blogs.

“You swore on your precious Bible that you would uphold the interests of this state, and then when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit,” Gustafson told Palin after the former governor walked over to ask, “What’s up?”

“Oh, you wanted me to be your governor,” Palin responded, sarcastically retorting, “I’m honored! Thank you!”

Gustafson then accused Palin of being more interested in “becoming a celebrity” than being involved in the “political process.”

In response, Palin tried to explain that now that she is no longer governor, she is free to be “out there fighting for Americans to be able to have a Constitution protected so that we can have free speech.” 

 As Weasel Zippers states, “looks like Sarah has lost the snarky school teacher vote”.

UPDATE I: Sarah Palin comments on Face Book on the “lame stream media” response:

The LSM has now decided to use this brief encounter for another one of their spin operations. They claim I – wait for it – “appear to roll my eyes” when the lady tells me she’s a teacher. Yes, it’s come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that’s why Botox is all the rage – if you can’t move your eyebrows, your “eye rolling” can’t be misinterpreted!) If they had checked their facts first, they would have known that I come from a family of teachers; my grandparents were teachers, my father was a teacher, my brother is a teacher, my sister works in Special Needs classrooms, my aunt is a school nurse, my mom worked as a school secretary for much of her professional life, we all volunteer in classrooms, etc., etc., etc. Given that family history, how likely is it that I would “roll my eyes” at someone telling me that they too work in that honorable profession? Stay classy, LSM.

One good thing to come out of this little episode, though, is that it helps to remind people once again that Alaska is a great state full of independent-minded people. Looks like the woman, Kathleen Gustafson, is a liar. As we find on GatewayPundit, she isn’t a teacher but a theater tech. Even more absurdly, the woman belongs to a band that features drag queens as its attraction!

Another blogger whose blog is named Mac’sMind did some digging and the only Kathleen Gustafson he could find connected to the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District works in the theater dept. as a tech.
