Barack Obama, Vera Baker Cheating Scandal? So Says the National Enquirer

So the National Enquirer is reporting o cheating scandal between President Barack Obama and and Vera Baker. As Weasel Zippers states, this is not the first time this has surfaced.

Of course one hears National Enquirer as they are quick to be dismissive. However, it was the National Enquirer who broke the John Edwards - Reille Hunter affair scandal when all other media outlets refused to cover it.

No one would have really thought Tiger Woods was capable of what he did, so when it comes to Obama or anyone, who really knows. The story from the NE is as follows:

Reports out of Washington, DC:  PRESIDENT OBAMA in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, DC Hotel with a former campaign aide.

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

Is there a First Cupcake? Not sure, but would you want to be the one who had to tell Michelle Obama that there was?

No Sheeple Here has more background on the story.  The Village Voice tries to dispel the rumors, but when does one really know? So many of these politicians are drunk with power that they think they can get away with anything.

It’s almost too much to imagine the fallout should this mysterious tape and further corroboration surface. Can we really, as a nation, handle two years of Chris Matthews and Bill O’Reilly blather, Maureen Dowd columns, Slate pieces and so on? The talking head community is likely salivating at the distant possibility.

But as it stands at the moment, the National Enquirer occupies such a perfect space in the media sphere that it’s inevitable for the political and media communities to be on edge and very careful for at least a few days, if not weeks. The tabloid is under no obligation to always (or even ever) tell the truth, and yet they’ve earned just enough trust to make Democrats and Real Reporters alike nervous as hell.

Honestly, who knows anymore. We have already seen such scandalous acts from John Edwards and Bill Clinton. Would it be disappointing if it were true about Obama, yes? Would we be shocked in this day and age, no. I hardly think that Republicans need an Obama sex scandal to topple his presidency. Obama’s job approval rating has already fallen and it can’t get up. Too many of his policies go directly against the will of the people.  Barack Hussein Obama and the far left of the Democrat party is already well on their way to doing that with Obamacare, near 10% unemployment, a failed $787 billion stimulus package, failure to listen to the people, cap & trade, treatment of Israel, and the list goes on.
