Obama Health Care Summ-It, Looking Beyond Already To Get the Votes for Obamacare

The Obama Health Care Summit … the health care sham.
After a year of denying TV coverage, denying Republican ideas, and denying listening to the American people, suddenly Barack Obama is going to have a sincere and open exchange of ideas with Republicans on health care. How stupid does he and Democrats think we are? Barack Obama is for “For Show” President, nothing more.
If any one thinks that this mornings Barack Hussein Obama Health Care Summit is really a getting together of Democrat and Republican idea to help pass constructive health care legislation for “We the People” then you might just believe pigs can fly as well.
Every poll shows that the American people hate the health care legislation before them. Yet, much like Jason from Friday the 13th fame, it keeps coming back in different versions of the same story. Obama’s summit is theater and to play to the TV. All Obama and Dems can hope to do is saddle Republicans with this failed health care legislation in the up coming 2010 elections so that Americans will not vote for them either. Democrats used to say that GWB was unbending and unwilling to compromise and look in another direction. What would one call Obamacare? Scrap it and start over says We the People.
Cooperation with Republicans? Bi-partisan efforts? Hell, Obama can’t even get his own party on board with the terrible piece of health care legislation.
The Washington Post is reporting that Democrats are already looking beyond today’s meeting with Republicans. There is a show of bi-partisan participation in the process of discussing healthcare with the Republicans across the aisle. Democrats know that Obama’s health care discussion is nothing more than a staged even in front of the cameras so that Obama can some how come across to America like he cares. However, behind the scenes for a year he has been apart of this Obamacare process that has rejected Republican ideas.
Congressional Democrats are already looking beyond the White House health-care summit, reckoning that Thursday’s session will amount to little more than political theater and focusing instead on a final round of intraparty negotiations that are likely to determine the fate of President Obama’s top domestic priority
A health care legislative process that Americans have soundly rejected. However, this President and Democrat controlled Congress continue to ram this unpopular legislation down the throats of Americans trying to call it something different.
After a year of not televising the health care debate on C-SPAN as Obama promised over and over and over during the 2008 Presidential campaign, suddenly today’s health care farce is on TV. For a year Democrats have ignored Republicans and shot down all Republicans ideas, now Obama wants to listen.
If this negotiation was really sincere, goes into the meeting from a starting point that has already been deemed a failure by Democrats, Republicans and the American people?
The problem with Obamacare is that “We the People” do not trust the government to do the right thing. 51% of American people fear the government more than private insurance.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 51% fear the federal government most when it comes to such decisions. Thirty-nine percent (39%) fear private insurance companies more.
Making matters worse, 56% of Americans oppose the current version of health care proposed by the President, while only 41% support it. It is not the Republicans that are being the party of no, it is the Republicans who are actually listening to the people and saying no.
Hugh Hewitt reminds those watching today’s sham to call your blue dog Democrats and vulnerable Democrats to remind them that a vote for Obamacare is a one way ticket out of Washington, DC. Vulnerable Dems are defined after the Scott Brown election in Massachusetts is pretty much everyone.
Obama Readies a Fallback Health-Care Proposal. As the people have stated, can we just scrap the PRO-Obamacare plan (PRO-Pelosi, Reid Obama) and start over from scratch with health care legislation that actually is productive rather than a first step in a government take over.
More from ABC, Will Obama’s Health Care Summit Be Political Theater or Substantive Dialogue? If you have to ask the question, then you already know the answer.
