The Democrat polling carnage continues …
This time the state is Arkansas and the Democrat is incumbent Democrat Senator Blanche Lincoln. In what can only bee looked upon as a stunning polling number, Republican challenger John Boozman leads Blanche Lincoln in a recent survey by Public Policy Polling 56% to 33%.
John Boozman
Lincoln’s approval rating has sunk to just 27%, with 62% of voters in the state disapproving of her. She’s at a middling 51% even within her own party and just 17% of independents and 9% of Republicans are happy with how she’s doing.
What is telling about the PPP polling numbers is that they follow the trend in many recent polls and election results in VA, NJ and Massachusetts where Independents are breaking sharply for the Republican candidates. Also, what is weighing the Arkansas incumbent Democrat down … Obamacare. 61% of Arkansas voters oppose the President’s plan and among those folks Lincoln’s approval rating is just 8%.
What it all adds up to is Boozman winning 89% of the Republican vote while Lincoln’s at just 68% with Democrats. And Boozman has a 66-20 lead with independents as well.
Boozman is not all that well known- a 43% plurality of the state’s voters have no opinion about him one way or the other. Among those who do 32% view him favorably to 25% unfavorably.
It is almost unbelievable the backlash against Lincoln by the Razorback voters. As seen at Real Clear Politics, Lincoln gets trounced by every Republican in the poll.
Once again we are witness to a Democrat that will be voted out of office because they supported Obama’s liberal health care plan rather that representing the will of their constituents who voted them into office. Don’t look for President Barack Obama to be making any appearances to stump for Blanche Lincoln in her Senate campaign, he has literally become toxic.
We had been saying for months that there will be hell to pay in Red states for Donkey candidates and that prediction is coming true in the polls leading up to the midterm elections.
