Dan RAthER and Chris Matthews Agree that Republicans Will Take Over the House in 2010

Cris Matthews has lost that luvin’ feeling … My what a difference 18 months makes.

This weekend Dan Rather suggested that the odds were that Republicans would take back the House of Representatives and probably hold on to the US Senate only because of the large majority they hold presently.

More importantly was the glum look on Matthew’s face when he responded to Rather, I agree.

Transcript from News Busters:

DAN RATHER: Look, there’s, there are a lot of angry people out there, and a lot of scared people. People vote their pocketbooks. That’s number one. Number two, overnight’s a long time in politics. A week is forever. We still have a long time to go and a lot of things can happen between now and November. As we sit here today, odds on the Republicans take the House – I know Democrats don’t want to hear it – retake the house.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, HOST: I agree with that.

RATHER: And the Democrats, because of the figures that have so many in the Senate, probably hold on to the Senate. And it will change the center of gravity in American politics unless something dramatic happens between now and November.

I am right on board with the Hot Air Pundit, there are not too many times that I agree with Dan RAthER, this is one of them. I wonder if Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is ”out of the loop” on this?

Remember Matthew’s famous “thrill up his leg” comment that he claimed to be an objective assessment about Barack Obama. Look at the difference between the giddiness of Matthews in the past to the present day, some one just ran over my dog and the Republicans are taking over. Objective indeed Chris.
