The definition of Democratic bi-partisan compromise is agreeing with their socialist views and government take over of the health care industry. Republicans want no part of any type of bipartisan agreement to such things and neither do a majority of Americans. The polling and Town Halls have shown that “We the People” want nothing to do with the Democrats health care vision and Obamacare.
However, the Democrats are now looking to push Obamacare down the throats of Americans by themselves. They are looking to move health care with out the GOP and without “We the People”.
“I think that at some point everyone’s going to see that the Republicans simply are not going to agree to any kind of health care reform that the insurance industry isn’t supporting and that, reluctantly, we’re going to have to do it without them,” said Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).“At some point after we get back, if we don’t have a bipartisan bill, we’ll never be able to meet the goal of having a bill signed into law by the end of the year, so yes, we are considering alternatives,” Schumer said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
There are a couple a key and fallacious qualities to these comments. One, as Don Surber points out, Democrats have the supposed voted in the House and the Senate to pass the bill is they truly want to. So why do they keep playing this game of double and triple dog dare?
“The Republicans simply are not going to agree to any kind of health care reform that the insurance industry isn’t supporting …” Really? Or is it they just don’t want to support the government take over of 1/6 of the US economy? There are Republican health care plans on the table that are for portability of insurance, no pre-existing clauses and the ability to buy insurance plans across state lines. What there isn’t is a so-called public option that is code for government run health care.
Make no mistake about it, are some changes in health care needed? Yes. Is Obamacare or any of these pipe dream plans with a Democrat agenda needed? NO! If a light is out in the garage and a couple of bulbs need changing, one does not demolish the private home and build government housing.
