Michelle Obama Gaffe… Campains for Democrat Iowa Senate Candidate “Bruce Bailey” … Too Bad His Name is Bruce Braley

Michelle Obama’s Joe Biden moment …  Note to First Lady Michelle Obama, when campaigning for a candidate, know their name.

While campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday for Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Braley, Michelle Obama referred to him on at least seven occasions as Bruce “Bailey”. After repeating the Democrat candidates incorrect name and proving the wrong web site she was finally corrected by shouts from the audience.  One of the more ironic parts of Michelle Obama’s speech, seen HERE: 1:10 mark, was making her diatribe about her and Barack and her reminiscing about Iowa when her husband first ran for president. Imagine that, the Obama’s making the story all about them? She stated, “Because you all treated us like family and you didn’t even know us. You hosted us at house parties all across the states and i can remember almost every house I was in.” That’s interesting, she can remember the houses she was in, but not the Democrat candidates name she is campaigning for. Oops!!!

Michelle Obama also referred to Braley as a Marine Corps veteran. WRONG AGAIN!!! Bruce Brailey was never in the Marine Corps, his father was. However, the only name you really need to know in the Iowa Senate race is Republican candidate Joni Ernst, who actually is a member of the Army reserve and National Guard and likes “TO CUT PORK”.

While campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa Friday for Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Braley, she referred to him multiple times as “Bailey” before she was corrected by someone shouting from the audience.

The flub came despite a huge array of signs in the hall where she was speaking, all spelling Braley’s name correctly.

The first lady also referred to Braley as a Marine Corps veteran, which he is not. Braley’s staff said she meant to refer to his late father, Byard Braley, a Marine who fought at Iwo Jima.

Braley’s opponent in the Senate race, Republican Joni Ernst, is a member of the Army reserve and National Guard.
