20 year old pregnant Megan Marotte had been missing since August 4, 2013 in Staten Island, NY. The missing 20 year old has been anything but normal in the past couple of moths. Megan Marotte has gone from arrested for driving while impaired on drugs to missing. Now her family fears the worst as she has gone missing.
Megan Marotte, 20, of Sommer Avenue in Graniteville, was arrested July 12 after, police allege, she crashed into a fence at the Angel’s Circle 9/11 memorial in Grasmere while driving impaired by drugs.
A month later, she vanished, and her family organized search teams to blanket Staten Island with thousands of “missing person” flyers.
UPDATE I: A body has been found in Willowbrook park in Staten Island by an individual who were walking their dog. The police are investigating whether the woman found is missing Megan Marotte. The body was discovered in the woods near Victory Blvd. and Morani St. on Staten Island. This was near the last location anyone saw missing Megan Marotte. A positive identification and the cause of death will be made by the medical examiner’s office.
Authorities are investigating if a body found in a Staten Island park Thursday is a pregnant woman who has been missing for almost two weeks.
The body, feared to be 20-year-old Megan Marotte, was found in Willowbrook park by three people who smelled a foul odor while walking a dog.
“I was scared, because I didn’t really want to find anything,” Ashly Garcia said. “I didn’t expect all this to be happening. I was just scared.”
Police searched the area for about an hour before finding the body of a white female in a wooded area.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of 20-year-old woman whose body was found inside a Staten Island park.
The body of Megan Marotte was found in Willowbrook Park Thursday after someone reported a foul smell. Marotte was reported missing by her family Aug. 3.
Police arrested Pedro Martin, of Staten Island, and charged him with murder.
