Classes are canceled for Monday after a fatal shooting overnight at the University of Memphis. What is becoming to be an all to often occurrence. What is going on in our college campuses?
Classes were canceled on the main campus of the University of Memphis Monday after a fatal shooting there Sunday night.
University officials said a student was shot in the chest while in the vicinity of the Carpenter Complex around 9:45 p.m. Sunday. The student drove to the intersection of Zach Curlin and Central, where he was involved in a single car automobile accident.
The student was taken to The MED, where he was pronounced dead. (WMC-TV)
University of Memphis Football Player Fatally Shot
Taylor Bradford, 21, of Nashville was shot in the chest and pronounced dead a short time later at the Regional Medical Center. The school newspaper, the Daily Helmsman, identified the victim.
The man had apparently walked out of the dormitory where he lived and was in his car when the shooting occurred. The car ran into a tree a short distance from the campus.
