Barack Obama’s Secretary Paid Higher Tax Rate Than the One, But the Question Should Be Why … Also, Obama Does not Even Qualify for Buffet Rule

More from the divisive Hypocrite in Chief …

The latest in “class warfare” from President Barack Obama  … Obama pays lower tax rate than his secretary. However, the story is not that Obama’s secretary pays a higher tax rate, the question should be why does a hypocrite like Obama champion the “Buffet rule”, yet in the next breath do everything possible to lower his tax rate? Hmm?

Upon release of Barack Obama’s 2011 federal income tax return we learned that the Obamamessiah pad an effective tax rate of 20.5% making an adjusted gross $789,674. Note to “Occupy Wall Street folks, Obama is hardly one of you.  It would appear that Obama’s secretary Anita Decker Breckenridge paid a slightly higher tax rate and only grosses $95,000.

President Obama today released his 2011 federal income tax, with he and his wife reporting an adjusted gross income of $789,674. The Obamas paid $162,074 in total tax – an effective federal income tax rate of 20.5%. The Obamas also reported donating approximately 22% of their income to charity — $172,130.

President Obama has been making a big political push for the “Buffett Rule,” which would require millionaires to pay a minimum of 30% of their income in taxes. To illustrate the point, the president has pointed out that billionaire investor Warren Buffett pays a lower tax rate than does his secretary.

President Obama’s secretary, Anita Decker Breckenridge, makes $95,000 a year. White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage tells ABC News that Breckenridge “pays a slightly higher rate this year on her substantially lower income, which is exactly why we need to reform our tax code and ask the wealthiest to pay their fair share.”

However, the question that the liberal MSM seems to have missed is why does Obama pay a lesser tax rate when he demands others pay a higher tax rate with the so-called “Buffet rule”? What ever happened to doing what you say and saying what you do? What a novel concept for Obama to tell other to pay more and not lead by example. Barack Obama paid a lesser tax rate than his secretary for one reason … Obama paid a tax accountant to find every tax loop hole ,deduction and gamed the tax system to lessen his rate. If Obama is such a champion of the rich paying a higher tax rate then why did he take the deductions that enabled him to do so? After all, Obama is by his own definition, rich. Exactly why is someone who claims others should pay more, not doing the same himself? Great leadership Barack.

What is even more comical is that Barack Obama’s class warfare demands that the rich pay a higher tax rate would not even make a difference with this scenario.  As stated at at National Journal, Obama does not even qualify for the Buffet rule. How rather convenient.

So once again the Obama WH lies to “We the People”.  Maybe Obama can explain his White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage told  ABC News that Obama’s secretary paying a higher tax rate than the President is an example of why the “Buffet rule” is needed and the wealthiest to pay their fair share.

The Buffett Rule calls for those making over $1 million a year to pay a minimum tax rate, named after billionaire Warren Buffett. The president did earn over $1 million in previous years–$1.7 million in 2010 and $5.5 million in 2009.

The president paid $162,074 in taxes with an effective federal income tax rate of 20.5 percent, according to the returns.
