Sacrifice & Conviction? After Getting Ripped By Romney, Barack Obama Says He will Delay 17 Day Vacation Until Congress is Done Working

GUILTED INTO STAYING IN DC …

A funny thing happened on the way to President Barack Obama’s 17 day Christmas vacation in Hawaii. Obama has been guilted into delaying his trip by GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. As reported at The Hill, Barack Obama has delayed his vacation to Hawaii until Congress completes its work on the payroll tax bill and has warned Congress to stay in DC as well.

President Obama is not vacationing in Hawaii with his wife and children while the extension of the payroll tax holiday remains in limbo, and has warned GOP congressional leaders to stay in town as well.

Obama had planned to fly to Hawaii with his family on Dec. 17 and stay there through New Year’s.

However, this is hardly Presidential leadership or some type of sacrifice and conviction on the part of Barack Obama. He had every intention of jetting off to Hawaii for golf and sun until Mitt Romney ripped him a new one and criticized him for his lack of work for the American people while they remain jobless.

Mitt Romney, who is running in part on the slogan “Obama isn’t working,”on Monday hit the president — hard — over a planned Christmas vacation in Hawaii, saying the president intended on “going off for golf in the sun.”

Speaking to Iowa voters during a tele-town hall, Romney said that Obama, an avid golfer, had more interest in spending time on the links than on fixing the economy.

“I have to feel that this president has been a failure. The other day I understand that [New Jersey Gov.] Chris Christie said that he was a bystander president. That he watches affairs and has not guided affairs,” he said. Obama’s “idea of a hands on approach to the economy is getting a grip on his golf club.”

However, it appears the rest of the First family will not sacrifice like the rest of America, Michelle and the girls are off to Hawaii leaving Barack home alone shooting hoops by himself. It is rather comical that Obama had insisted that Congress should stay in Washington , DC, yet he was going to go on a 17 day vacation to Hawaii. BTW, do the 99 percenters even get 17 days of vacation off in a year?
