Democratic Presidential Nominee, Maybe Hillary Rodham Clinton isn’t your Man?

Posted in: Media,Politics,Polls

According to a brand new CNN poll with the Presidential race a little more than two Haiilary Clintonyears away, NY Democratic Junior Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton did not fare well. Nearly half of those responded would definitely NOT VOTE for Hillary Clinton for President in 2008.

Respondents were asked whether they would “definitely vote for,” “consider voting for,” or “definitely vote against” three Democrats and three Republicans who might run for president in 2008.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would “definitely vote against” both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party’s candidate in 2004

Seems that 48% would also not vote for former Vice President Al Gore either. Al Al Gore tshirtGore’s rants since his 2000 Presidental loss to GWB have all but made the political center run for the hills away from him. The three most recognizable figures in the Democratic Party all according to the polling public are un-electable.  Since the three, Clinton, Gore and Kerry have all been on the main stage at one time or another conventional wisdom states that their “negative” numbers will not change over time as the public is very well aware what all three stand for. The Democratic Primaries are shaping up to be a free for all. Clinton, Gore and Kerry on the same stage trading political barbs, that is must see TV.

What is rather fascinating is the following bit of polling data. 22% gave a positive choice and stated that they would vote for Hillary Clinton. This is the same woman that so many on the left have ordained as their candidate in 2004 after GWB was reelected. What is rather comical is that many in the media have constantly hounded President George W. Bush citing his approval ratings in the polls and job performance. Yet in the most recent USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, showed Bush’s approval rating going up to 38% from 36% earlier this month and an all-time low of 31% in May.

You mean to tell me that GWB’s all time low approval rating of 31% is higher than Hillary Clinton’s positive percentage of 22% as to who would vote for her in 2008? There is something you don’t see talked about on CNN or read in The New York Times or much of the rest of the media for that matter.
