Mitch Daniels is Out and Herman Cain is In for a Presidental Bid for the White House in 2012

It’s official, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will not run for the GOP nomination for the 2012 Presidential election.According to Daniels, the ultimate decision came down  his family’s reticence about a campaign. How sad that this is what Presidential campaigns have come to. However, I have to agree with Hot Air, that Daniels was not terribly enthusiastic about having his family history turned into campaign fodder.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels told supporters in an email early Sunday that he will not run for president in 2012, a decision he said ultimately came down to his family’s reticence about a campaign.

The announcement by the former Office of Management and Budget director and favorite of much of the Republican establishment will again roil the unsettled GOP field—and likely intensify efforts to convince another major candidate to join the race, such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush or New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie

However, there is one man who emphatically and with overwhelming jumped into the race and that individual is Herman Cain. Amid cheers and applause, Herman Cain officially began his run as an “outside the DC Beltway” candidacy. Cain is a different kind of GOP candidate and maybe that is exactly what is needed. The Left Coat Rebel offers a nice picture in contrast of Obama and Cain in their younger years college daze.

In front of thousands in Atlanta, GA Herman Cain Announced Candidacy

Tea Party favorite Herman Cain announced his long-shot presidential candidacy to a raucous crowd in Atlanta Saturday, yelling, “I’m running for president of the United States and I’m not running for second.”

At a rally attended by thousands, the businessman, author and talk radio show host showed he knows how to wow a conservative gathering. The crowd chanted, “Herman, Herman, Herman,” as Cain unleashed the same soaring rhetoric and relentless attacks on President Obama that has created buzz in recent weeks.

“Let me tell you some of the reasons why I’m running for president of the United States. We have become a nation of crises,” he said, citing morals, the economy, entitlement spending, immigration and foreign affairs as among the crises facing the nation.

“And we’ve got a deficiency of leadership crisis in the White House,” he said to roaring cheers.

The Other McCain make a great point in analyzing the trend of those who want to challenge Obama in 2012 and those that opt out for what ever reason. Herman Cain is enthusiastic and in it to win it, no matter what the intellectual political pundits say.

Dear God, please not Jeb Bush! But you see the pattern: Barbour quit, Trump quit, Huckabee quit and now Daniels quits, while Herman Cain — the man who all the pundits say can’t win — just keeps going and going
