Beth Twitty Speaks at Victims’ Rights Rally in KY

Posted in: Aruba,Beth Holloway,Missing Persons,Natalee Holloway,Save Yourself Program

Beth Twitty spoke to a captive Kentucky “victims rights” crowd regarding the safety of their children traveling abroad and at home.

Twitty told reporters it’s been a long search trying to find her daughter and the people responsible for her disappearance. She spoke Wednesday to other crime victims about coping with the aftermath of a family tragedy.

Many do not understand people’s fascination with the Natalee Holloway disappearance, or are bitter that other cases do not get the same attention. These people look at the Natalee Holloway coverage in a myopic manner. They think that the attention that the MSM has given one case hurts other cases when in fact it is just the opposite.

Natalee Holloway and the efforts that Beth Twitty, the Twitty, Holloway and supporters of the family have created a dynamic that will change the manner in how the MSM covers missing person cases. It is no coincidence that more and more MSM cable shows cover missing person cases. This was never the case prior to Natalee’s disappearance. Beth Holloway explains it in her own words.

Twitty also said she appreciates all the attention her daughter’s disappearance has attracted, calling it a good thing for all missing-persons cases across the nation.

“If it has created more in-depth interest in how … news programs handle missing-persons cases in general, than what a sacrifice to make, so no, I don’t look at it as taking attention away,” Twitty said. “I look at it as Natalie has brought it to the forefront.”

Natalee Holloway’s Mother Has ‘Faith’ Her Daughter’s Disappearance Will be Solved

“I keep thinking it will end on day. And I really have enough faith that we will get to the bottom of it. But when it will end, I just don’t know,” said Twitty.

Holloway in Kentucky for Crime Victims’ Rally

Twitty was in Frankfort to be the featured speaker at the Kentucky Crime Victims’ Rights Day rally. Her daughter’s case has created immense media attention, attention she neither shys away from, nor apologizes for.

“I don’t look at it as if Natalee has taken attention away, I look at it as if Natalee has brought it to the forefront,” Twitty says.

Beth Holloway Twitty is being paid $2,000 and traveling expenses for her appearance.

She says the money will go into the Natalee Holloway trust fund to help offset the expenses of hiring investigators and attorneys.
